Phenomenon - liked it. Got John Travolta dancing again in a breakthrough comeback. Even got the Portuguese right. Fine film. On tv as I type.

Haaa! Glad you mentioned that sex scene. First I thought of but thought to err on the side of recognizability! Loved it when she gets her comeuppance and he whips his drink at her limo! LOL!

I also liked the bit where his buddy ( also a teacher ) got caught having sex with the student. And the bit where he's having sex with his wife and has got other things on his mind. Funny movie.

Me too! Dark Knight (two big guido thumbs up).

Posted before that I really gave new respect to the Saw series that I thought was just popular garbage. Same sorts of situations. Pick one and the other dies. Really cool. Can't wait to own it as I certainly missed some things on the big screen. Too many an "OH CRAP!" moment not to watch (and in my case OWN) that gem of a film.

Loved it! Really funny slapstick after he gets stung by the bee. Hmmm...reminds me of the debate and after-spin I just suffered through.

Has anyone seen a movie called Election? It's about a high school teacher who hates one of his pupils with such a passion that he tries to sabotage her campaign to become president of the student body. Matthew Broderick is great as the teacher and Reece Witherspoon is hilarious as the irritating pupil.

Most people told me they thought Hancock sucked.  I saw it last night, and even though it will never be in my top 10, I didn't think it was that bad.

Looooved Dark Knight:
The best hands-on Joker I have ever seen and the best inspired Batman sequel.

I saw "No country for old men" this weekend. I thought it was good, alot of blood and killing. It's about a guy that stumbles across a drug deal gone bad in the desert. Finding the suitcase full of cash, he thinks he's become rich? The owner wants his money back and will stop at nothing to get it. This guy is a phsyco, and the things he will do to locate the cash/suitcase are unbelieveable. I didn't care for the ending, too many holes?

The Wild Bunch, this is the best western ever, Sam Peckinpah directs, Williiam Holden, Ernest Borgnine, Warren Oates and Ben Johnson star, it's a bloodbath, fucking awesome movie, i love it.

Deep Cover, this is a cool movie about a cop who gets so deep under cover that he doesn't know if he's even a cop any more or a dealer pretending to be one. Jeff Goldblum is awesome in this as his business partner, Lawrence Fishburne is the cop.

I remeber seeing Lords Of Flatbush when i was real young, can't remember much about it except Sylvester Stallone and Henry Winkler were in it. Have to try and find it somewhere and see it again.

Not a really a "chick flick" fan,  but I did like Lakehouse. Has anyone else seen it?

I remember way back (seems like it, I was a kid then) a movie called The Lords Of Flatbush.  I haven't seen it but one time but it was a pretty tough movie!

Oh, which "old fart" in their right minds DIDN'T see that film. CLASSIC. "Warriors, come out to PLAAAYAAAYYY!"

Sadly, they did a director's re-edit of it recently. Put this whole new comic book theme on it. He should have left well enough alone. First time he did it was better. Oddly enough, they just made a videogame based on it (I have the PSP version) and, surprise, surprise, it is actually GOOD! Made by the Rockstar - same company who made thier name with the Grand Theft Auto series.

I loved that bit where woody staged the mugging of his landlady so he could come to her rescue thus avoiding handing over his rent money ( which he didn't have ). I loved what she made him do when she found him out.
