I'm up to watch the last 20 minutes of Germany vs England - Germany picking England apart. I'm half English so waaaah, but the German team, when they play well like they are now, are brilliant to watch. |

We'll, I chimed in with a little Patriotic fervor when they won so I'll extend congrats in loss.
Best of luck to Ghana!
I'm sensing a little anti-American sentiment here. Are we that bad? |

Yeah Ghanas extra time goal was great. The US guy getting knocked over in the penalty area was a silly thing, but there was no need for the mini tantrum he then had, beating the ground with his fists, LOL! The games tomorrow should be very good! One of the goals of the tournament for Ghana in extra time.
Tonights games I'm picking the Hun and Argentina, pissed off I have to go to work at half time in the Argie game. |

Yup. See ya, USA. You did your best. Don't worry, there's always 2014!
Now...let's see what tomorrow has in store for us:
England vs. Germany (Go Germany!) and Mexico vs. Argentina (Go Mexico!). Edited at: Saturday, June 26, 2010 2:36:58 PM |

Awwwwww.....too bad. Fair outcome, IMO. USA was pretty darn sloppy. Losing that (typical) first goal.
Adiós EE.UU. Congrats to Ghana. |

Especially those sports which are actually non-contact.
I'm cheering for Ghana too, being the only African side in the final 16 I hope they advance. I have to root for Ghana today (being the only African team to get past opening round.) |

I doubt they got that lesson. Semper PHI! lol . Just think of American sports teams as Jarheads. They are out to win, but the possiblity of them winning is small. Don't stop them. They have done well considering two goals have been disallowed and I'm sure there is more of the same in their future. I have no stake in this, I'm just facinated. lol [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by _strat_ from Friday, June 25, 2010 11:07:29 PM) | | _strat_ wrote: | | Probably. Serves them right. If youre going to play at this level, you should be more professional than that. And if you dont want to shake hands with someone who was better than you in a game, than Id say they should forget about the plane, and take a bus home. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by jimmyjames from Friday, June 25, 2010 5:42:40 PM) | | jimmyjames wrote: | | Our midfield were pretty good. Highlight of the World Cup for me so far The French performance. Not the best of starts for them with star player Frank Ribery being investigated by the police for paying for sex with underage prostitutes. The rest of their cup being dominated by infighting, players and coach at loggerheads, refusing to train, dressing room arguments, Anelka being sent home, the French Minister of Sport being dispatched by the President of France to sort the squabbling bitches out, finishing last in their pool, Domenich refusing to shake hands with the South African coach and lastly having their first class flights home down graded to economy by the French Football Association. Brilliant, you couldn't write a better script. | | Becks wrote: | | Yeah, our strikers are slow compared to some of the speedy dudes on other teams. Plus our midfield is old. But I think we're on a good track, hopefully football isn't forgotten now we're out of the tournament. | | jimmyjames wrote: | | Well, NZ finish undefeated yet doesn't go through. It's fair though. You can't expect to go to the next round when you only score two goals in three games, one of which was scored by a defender. Our attack was impotent throughout the tournament. That's something we need to work on. |
