Umm... On second thought, keep it. On the house. The way you are you would probably want to go with a luxury ship instead of a plane...

Seriously tho, its nice to hear that that particular incident turned out allright. 5000$.... What on earth did she do to your car?

Thank you all. It was a bit of a surprise to say the least. I mean, it happened on New Year's Eve! According to her insurance company, she called it in the next day but I did not see any notes on the car over the weekend. In any event, I am grateful. The shop called me yesterday afternoon and said the repairs will take about two weeks and run almost $5,000 !!! YIKES!  The Princess is already in "love" with the rental we have ( A little SUV) so I am getting heat about buying her one! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Um...strat...the check's in the mail...HAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!!!!

That is amazing that someone would actually take responsibility
for something they did wrong in todays society!!  Too many times
I see things like that, just yesterday my neighbor down the way, who is
middle eastern, had about 2 dozen eggs thrown on his car. They keep to
themselves why would anyone be so childish!!!  That's probably who it
was, kids!!  Good luck with the car!!

Well, I should think that today will be a far sight better than the last couple have been for me! I went out to the car yesterday in order to take it to the repair shop and, lo and behold, there was an envelope on the windshield from the offending driver!! Seems there is still a bit of decency left in the world. Well, that or someone saw her and threatened to turn her in!! HA!!! ANYWAAAAAAAAAY, she left me a nice note with the claim number and her insurance information. Looks like I will NOT be out the $500 deductible afterall!!! WOO HOO!!!!

Seems to have been relatively quiet around here??? Apart from the obligatory IDIOTIC Threads that continue to pop up, all is peaceful in Priestville. The very least one of you could do is call me names or insinuate that I think I run the site or something! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahhh yes....Tuesday....the penny of the work week....I call it that because it seems that it's the most useless day of the week....unless your birthday falls on a Tuesday, that is...

....oh well....may as well go and make the most of it.... *sips coffee...and pulls up bootstraps*

Judas Priest plan special shows to celebrate 40th anniversary

http://www.sundaymercury.net/enterta...6331-22598906/

THIS year marks the 40th anniversary of the formation of Judas Priest – and guitarist Glenn Tipton hopes it is celebrated with some extra special shows.

The 61-year-old who was born in Blackheath, Birmingham, but now lives in Worcestershire, says there are plans for the band's latest album, Nostradamus, a concept double album, to be performed in its entirety.

''Our ambition is to perform Nostradamus from start to finish when everyone's got used to it and they all know it,'' says Glenn who is joined in the band by vocalist Rob Halford, guitarist Ken 'KK' Downing, bassist Ian Hill and drummer Scott Travis.

''We'll certainly pick some special venues as we'd like to make an event of it. We'll be looking at venues around the world that would contribute to the classical and operatic side of the project.''

Glenn says he's unsure where in Birmingham the 100-minute record could be showcased.

''The Bull Ring would be a good place to do it – it's probably there in his prophecies if we look,'' he jokes. ''Nostradamus visits Birmingham Bull Ring!''

Symphony Hall would be the obvious place to emphasis the operatic qualities of the double album but Glenn says the band's reputation may deter the hall's owners from hiring it out.

An incident on their 1984 Defenders of the Faith tour means they're unable to play at one of the world's top arenas.

''Madison Square Garden banned us for life,'' he recalls. ''The audience went berserk and ripped all the seats out. They cost more that quarter of a million dollars to replace. Me and Ken went back there to see a tennis match which John McEnroe was playing in. We went incognito, wearing hoodies so no one would recognise us but the ushers came up to us and said 'Thanks for the new seats, guys'.''

Before the full Nostradamus shows Judas Priest join Megadeth and Testament for the 'Priest Feast' at Birmingham's LG Arena at the NEC on February 14.

Glenn reveals that there will be snippets from the latest album on display: ''The intro tape will be Dawn Of Creation from Nostradamus, then Prophecy and Death, and for our playout there's the title track so the fans will get plenty of Nostradamus as such.''

He adds that there will also be plenty of oldies, including some that haven't been played live before.

''There's Hell Patrol, Devil Child, Sinner – classic Priest, plus the unmissable Painkiller and Hell Bent For Leather.''

As for the next project...

''We might do a live album . We've recorded quite a few shows so we have to get together and listen to those and a think about that.

''But with us you never know what's around the corner. We never really plan. We finish a tour, take a break, then we go into a room and start to write. We're very lucky in this band that we have a great writing formula, we never know what we're going to come up with.

"That's the beauty of Priest, you never know what's coming next.''

Greetings and salutations from beautiful San Clemente, CA!

Just a quick drop-in to say that I am sorry to have not had the annual countdown with all of you but wish one and all a very Merry New Year! <===Haaaa! Eddie Murphy, "Trading Places!" Gotta love it.

Off to ride a big boat to grab that tequila with Sammy on Monday where I'll certainly have no internet as I am a cheapskate! Hey, Sammy shows up I gotta buy the round, right?! I believe that is the rule.

Much metal love and all the best for 2009, my friends.

Hello family!

How is everyone's weekend so far? Mine is sort of confussed due to some alarm clock settings lol.  Other than that, not too much to report. I'm still trying to get used to 2009.  Kids go back to school on Monday so (yes I know this is going to sound wicked but wth) I am so looking forward to Monday! I love them to bits but feck it, they're a handful. Life pretty much comes to a standstill when I've got them full day. No time for work or anything besides trying to run after two toddlers all day.

I hope everyone is having a great year so far, I know it's early but I have a feeling it's going to be easier than 2008. Less surprises and more solutions.
