I can believe that it's like Dream Theater and Symphony X! Both sets of fans hate each other even though the bands play both equally great music. The only reason they booed Halford was because a lot of Maiden fans are elitist pigs (not all mind you so no offence to any here). Priest and Maiden don't gotogether so if you stick them in a room with each other the out come won't be so good. I certainly wouldn't boo Maiden but i wouldn't be overly excited to see them either cause that's just pure ignorance. Plus if it was just Halford band opening for Maiden my God they must have made Maiden look like like a wannabe band lol Halfords music is pure heavy metal through and through! If the new cd begins with something like Hellion/Electric eye and ends with something strong like Steeler or Hellrider with a mixture of Painkiller, SFV, British Steel, Hell Bent for Leather and Defenders in between then I'll be happy. Wishful thinking?

I know i love Nostradamus but it was too full of slow paced mid tempo and not very heavy songs, i want the Priest that i love the most and anything along the lines of British Steel to Angel of Retribution would do (with a couple of exceptions). Now another Defenders of the Faith would be awesome especially if they release an anthem as good as Heavy Duty which is possibly my favourite track on the album it's so damn heavy and Halfords vocals just tear me apart everytime.

Ok...I guess I can sort of get an idea why you like the album, most fans of the album say its Maiden's best work ever and that every single track on the album is a hit single and could be considered a best Maiden tune every one of them.I can see your point at least. With the "A Matter Of Life And Death" album as I've said many times before,I absolutely hate the first track "Different World" and the other track they first released "Benjamin Bragg"...those 2 songs are shit and those are the 2 songs they chose to release as singles and videos! The other 8 tracks on the album are decent Iron Maiden, not thier best work, but better than any album that came out after the 1984 "Powerslave" album by far in my opinion.

I think that Brave New World was half cool and half "lame". Dance Of Death to me is totally lame, and A Matter Of Life And Death may not be thier best album but is thier best effort since Powerslave in my book.

I stand by what i say, Priest are the Metal Gods and i just overall prefer their music as it has the really hard edge that metal is all about. I don't have anything against Maiden and the crew though, i know how popular and more sucessful they are than Priest, well in the UK mainly.

Yeah he still does the end of Painkiller fantastically well and i think he reserves himself a lot to do that at the end. I'm just saying that i think he can't sing it as well as he used to. The last 'awesome' version of Painkiller was when Halford was on the Crucible tour in 2002 i think it was and he still sang it superbly, even better than the 90's. I just think that it gets a bit much for him now. His screams are still perfect and i mean perfect and it seems you know too! When they were doing Metal Gods the line, 'better be the SLAAAAVEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!' Everyone just looked around at each other and were like whoa where did that come from and i just laughed (and gawped in pure disbelief), it gave me the shivers it was so high and perfect. Things like that just remind me why i love Priest and Halford so much. People can say that Dickinson is the best voice in metal but in my opinion he doesn't stand up to Halford especially for screams. I've never once heard Dickinson sing something that gives me the shivers, Halford has done it album after album to me. His best performance of a song to date is Victim of Changes, there is a video on youtube i'll try to find from this year's British Steel tour and it is perfect from start to finish. Maybe we could get a Painkiller album with more of Robs usual melodic singing with some signature screams here and there for good measure. Well let's just hope that they follow through with the idea cause i've been thinking lately and i just want them to release some good old heavy metal.

Well ya can't blame them really.
Its like Slayer. Who goes to a Slayer concert to see the opening band, know what I mean? Maiden and Slayer's opening bands get treated horribly and its the impatient fans fault. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by hellrider 31038 from Sunday, October 25, 2009 11:52:33 AM)

The only thing it needed was a FAST song. Different Worlds wasn't it.

I dunno. I just really like it. Dance of Death, Journeyman, Paschendale, No More Lies, and you could throw in Montsegur. Those are definitly the best songs on it.

I can't help it,but 90% of Iron Maiden fans like this album,I'm never going to be one of them Joe!! lol!

Hold on there, cowboy. I LOVE "Rainmaker." Only song I have on my iPod when I run save for the old school stuff.
It blows my mind away that there is a lot of people that actually "like" Dance Of Death album? I know its a personal opinion, but jeezzz I hate that album so much ,it is the worst album that Bruce has ever been a part of.Not 1 track on that album I can listen to,not one.I'm like Guido when he talks about "A Matter Of Life And Death" as he hates that album which I don't mind, but Dance Of Death is that kind of an album to me,I just despise it! lol!!! I've tried many times to listen to it and its like Nostradamus to me,it gets worse with every listen! lol! I can't help it,but 90% of Iron Maiden fans like this album,I'm never going to be one of them Joe!! lol!
I think that Brave New World was half cool and half "lame". Dance Of Death to me is totally lame, and A Matter Of Life And Death may not be thier best album but is thier best effort since Powerslave in my book.

There are some.... not good songs on it for sure haha. But the good ones make up for it.
Gates of Tomorrow
New Frontier
Face in the Sand
Age of Innocence
Those to me are the only songs that aren't really that great.
I dunno. I just really like it. Dance of Death, Journeyman, Paschendale, No More Lies, and you could throw in Montsegur. Those are definitly the best songs on it.

I stand by what i say, Priest are the Metal Gods and i just overall prefer their music as it has the really hard edge that metal is all about. I don't have anything against Maiden and the crew though, i know how popular and more sucessful they are than Priest, well in the UK mainly.
And Hellrider, i listen to Priest all of the time in fact some people would say too much but i think you can never get enough of The Priest! (Quoting Message by Bazooka Joe from Thursday, October 22, 2009 10:11:59 PM)

Well Hellrider another Painkiller album would of course be phenominal especially in these trying times for any classic heavy metal bands. The only factor i'm thinking about for the album though is the Metal God himself we know he can't sing Painkiller aswell as he used to and i'm trying to keep things realistic don't get me wrong his voice on Get into the Spirit is great and his screams are spot on perfect. Maybe we could get a Painkiller album with more of Robs usual melodic singing with some signature screams here and there for good measure. He could go it like Demonzier and sing all of the way through then at the end HE MELTS YOUR FACE WITH A SCREAMING RUSH OF POOOOWWWWWWERRRRR until we're nothing but a little pile on the floor. That might just be what is needed and i second that Hellrider!

Hell yeah J.D i think it would be awesome after all British Steel was the bands claim to fame, and reliving classic hits along the lines of Grinder and Metal Gods it can't possibly be a bad thing! Well let's just hope that they follow through with the idea cause i've been thinking lately and i just want them to release some good old heavy metal.
To quote ahem! 'Let's all join forces, rule with an iron hand, and prove to all the world, METAL RULES THE LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNDDDDD, WE"RE HEAVY DUTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' (Quoting Message by J.D. DIAMOND from Monday, October 19, 2009 5:06:51 PM)
