You cannot understand it?? Ya, I know 'Cause biathlon have it roots in a special military unit: "Gebirgsjäger" - "Mountain Infantry" ("High-Mountain-Platoon") and you don't have it in the states!!

I was also thinking the EXACT same thing about the "ski and shoot" event yesterday. Now running on SNOWSHOES and shooting, THERE would be a sport! Watching them trip over tennis racquets tied to their feet, guns going off by accident shooting the guy running in front of you.... |

That is me and cross-country skiing. 9 miles and I KNOW it is tough but, man, I hate to "skate" when you often have to do so to get to another downhill run.

That sucks Joe, I'm sure I saw a South African contingent enter the stadium during the opening ceremony the other day too. Winter Olympics is pretty interesting, some sports one never hears of except for every 4 years LOL!

And a fine morning to one and all!!!! I am so sorry to have missed all the "fun" yesterday but, as I have someone that I do love, I made the decision to spend that very special day with her! AH! What a fine day it was, too. Apparently, I made the right choice. Nothing worse than seeing someone give away their dignity.
Well, looks as if we are going to have another sunny, warm day here in Vegas!! Woo Hoo!! Always better for me. Olympics are on a bit later so I believe it is time for a cup of coffee and the paper...and perhaps some of my "crappy" music? HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good Morning! |
