A couple of photo's from 99' tour opening for Sabbath.
Dime held that pose until I was able to take the picture.
Considering they were playing live I thought  that was cool.

Wish I could pay it justice in my description, but it's one of those "have to see it things". Damn shame his kids leave it be, but I bet all the cool furniture they took out.   He was a master at carving. So beautiful, I was just stunned when I went in there.

That sounds too cool. You're lucky to see something like that. The description sounded awesome,
I couldn't imagine seeing it.

That is SO cool.
I wish the home of a man in this area would come up to being a place to be showed. If his kids didn't strip the furniture out of the place.
I will have to take a picture of it someday. All you can see above ground is what looks like a rook in a pawn game, with a door in it. the whole house is underground. This man was an amazing woodworker and all the furniture in the place was hand made. Very "Knights of the Round Table" type stuff. beautiful inlaid woodwork. I was lucky, I came by the house when he was still alive and asked him right out if I could please see it! I wish I had a camera when I went in there! WOW, is all I can say. Thrones, large carved tables, beautiful couches, all hand made. I fear after he died much of those works of art were removed.
I really thought the lighting was kind of low, but somehow, it lent it'self to the ambiance of the past.  Low light like candle light. The house was warm in the winter and took next to nothing to Cool in the Summer due to the fact the land was it's insulation. Darn, wish I had a camera when I went there.

It's not a good photo but the guy in the blue shirt built this place. He supposedly did everything by hand.
I forget how many years it took him. This place was featured on the Discovery Channel.
I didn't get to party there. Just visited for a couple of hours. Peace!

That's cool you noticed the steps. When I climbed up them I couldn't believe
how high, straight up, and narrow they were. Sitting at the top looking down
is a little scary.

Here's something a few of you may find interesting. I think it's called Miller's Castle.
I'm not sure. It's in Colorado. It was built by hand by Jim Miller(?). The wife and I were
vacationing out there and some locals showed it to us. It's quite a bit bigger than it looks.
The middle floor is a large open area with a sound system. He has bands and parties there.
Anyone can visit, he just asks for donations to help sustain the place. I thought it was a very
cool place. Peace!
