@acolytee55....I'm a fan of the some of the "OLD" black metal and some of the "OLD" death metal bands : 80's and early to mid 90's.....after the year 2000 hit it all went to shit. It just wasn't designed to have THAT many bands within the scene as it is today....the IMAGE and AESTHETICS of metal went to shit along with it. Back in the day there wasn't loads of death metal and black metal bands...sure a few like Florida for death metal and Norway for black....and a few elite scattered bands that were WORTHY.... When you saw a photo of DEICIDE you had them decked out in spikes and leather with Benton vocalist\bass with long hair ,leather spikes and a branded upsidedown cross on his for head...that along with the "scene" being "underground and hidden" made these bands elite with their song writing to top it off.....
Now....you can look like a tennis player and just get on stage grab a mic and sound like that idiot from Six Feet Under gargling razor blade sound singing Priest's Invader.....its a fuckin JOKE!!
While I'll always hail the old bands(Dark Funeral's new album Where Shadows Forever Reign is excellent)....I'll spit on the NU genre of trendy crap.
Heavy Metal is my focus. |

Any way love this "Mark" of Priest , revitalized and energetic + a return to some solid lyrics make this offering Great , I loved the time with KK ,and he is truly missed , but i am also happy i can continue to see and hear Priest and the voice that is heavy metal , and anyone wanting a little more of Mr Scott Travis ,here you go

| Not Vail,they are not. Anyone who thinks "its not Judas Priest without K.K." should be hung,drawn and quartered! Ritchie is a TRUE permanent valid member of this band I started to love in 1981! Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional and should NOT be on this forum. As I said....I've loved this band since 1981 during the Point Of Entry era and I think the band is better now than in 1981.
