Well, the first month of 2010 is just about in the books!! I'm hoping Priest closes it out with a Grammy tonight, I'll be watching but I think I might have to wade through a lot of crap before it gets to their category. I'll be rooting for our guys and keeping my fingers crossed, but either way I couldn't be happier for them to at least be recognized as a nominee!!!
Great to hear you had such a great time Becks!! You don't get many shows there so I'm happy you took advantage of the opportunity, and I too am glad you didn't get squished!!!
Checked out your vid Freeze, most impressed!!! When you touring the States??? Make sure you hit Chicago!!! |

Got 6 inches of snow yesterday. Most in 10 years. Couldn't resist a few donuts in a vacant parking lot while I was out and about yesterday. If I only had a dollar for every car I saw yesterday that had an inner tube strapped to it's roof. |

thank god. last time I saw them he did more solos than the band did songs. only show I ever saw where everyone was sitting for most of it. HOLY CRAP it was a great show! They had two Kiwi bands opening, The Checks (thoroughly meh) and Shihad (pretty damn cool) and AC/DC came on at about 8:55pm. What a show, they played a slew of their hits, Back in Black, The Jack, Shoot to Thrill, and they played for just under 2 hours. Angus did a massive guitar solo with some audience interaction, and he did a funny little strip tease to The Jack, revealing AC/DC boxers! LOL!!!!!! It was a spectacle really, awesome props and wee cartoon movies - one to open the show with Rock n Roll Train, and one that went with War Machine. We're a bit battered and bruised this morning, we were up against the barrier of our area and got smashed! Craig and his sister were trying to stop me from getting squished LOL being onlt 5'2"/160cm and about 127 pounds, I would have gotten squished big time if they hadn't pushed idiots back. In the first half hour over half a dozen people got pulled out from our area alone. Including a girl who collapsed only 20 minutes in to AC/DC's set. All in all, it was a fantastic show, and well worth every cent we spent on the tickets. My favourite parts included Angus going up on a hydraulic platform thing during his solo, Shoot to Thrill (one of my favourite AC/DC songs) and just the atmosphere, which was fantastic. We were all very sore afterwards, and this morning, but it was worth it! Edited at: Thursday, January 28, 2010 6:08:21 PM |

I always liked the strip job Angus does. He's so funny doing that. He's no bigger than a minute and he has never slowed down. The rest of the band has, but not him. He'll outlive us all. lol They are truely enjoyable live. Sounds like it was a GREAT time!! Funny that Angus is still doing that "striptease" thing at his age and..umm....appearance. Ah well, more power to the lad! He can still play like nobody's business!!! |
