Funny you should metion that. Last Thursday, the Princess insisted on cooking dinner. She made beef stroganoff. It was very good! I guess we do need to let them have their way occassionally! It sure is interesting how you and I are so similar in this area. We both do the cooking! The wives stay out of the kitchen. HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was born in Scotland - but moved here at an early age....always been a stone's throw from the coast. Summers are awesome, winters tho = we pay for it. She wont let me cook today....lol. O well, you have to give in somedays....

I have the same problem with bad weather, my friend.  Gloomy days really get me down. Always have. The Princess, on  the other hand, absolutely loves rainy days. I suppose growing up  in the desert has made her this way. Being from the coast, I have always loved hot, sunny days. In fact it is one of the reasons I moved out here. I love the heat!  Now then, boiled beef and cabbage??? Ugh!

Oh, talk about old school. Yeah, tried it but only managed to pelt some poor fellow in the head! HAAA! Most schools now have covered tubas for just such a occasion. Make your first "goal" there, let us know! Till then, I think we are both off soon. Last dog walk of the eve (morn) calling. G'night mon ami.

Ever manage to whip a marshmallow into a tuba or does your marching band cover theirs? In MI the marching band is unfortunately engaged in snowball fights with games that push to the winter weather! LOL!

Alright, even Vails team won today......

There's really nothing you can't find in Chicago (or nearby)...don't get downtown as much these days...but when I do, rest assure it's a good time (other than for sports)...

I really can't stand Ohio St....although I'm a fan of the Big 10 as well as Notre Dame who incidentally beat Washington today!!!

NICE! Video history! Kewl!

Necro sent the recipes to me and didn't save a copy. Thus, me popping his recipes back to him to send to you. I was just the middleman. All him. Let me know if you get around to making something. They look GREAT! I just have to find time and a CITY to get some of that stuff together! LOL. Lucky man to be in Chicagoland. Had a gf from Wilmette all my college years. Know the city quite well and still visit as often as possible.

Speaking of which, Ohio State lost. Certainly you don't expect a Michigan kid to cry over THAT one, eh? Haaaa! Only time I root against U of M is in a game like today. MSU domination! Good day, indeed. Think I'll be crying with the MI / Ohio State game, though. My U of M sis is even asking ME for MSU gear. Bad sign...

Doing alright Guido...was that you that fwd Necros recipes to me?  If it was, thanks...some of them look pretty good...Phillies taking a 2 games to 1 advantage over the Rays...Blackhawks 3-0-3 in last 6, but lost tonight in OT after entering the 3rd with a 5-2 lead, that was disappointing...Ohio St. lost (rooting for old man Paterno)...and Indiana won...not too shabby of a day...oh, almost forgot...gave my sis-n-law a video history of Priest...

Necro dont apoligize... Moving is a very stressful time.  And I mean STRESSFUL.. I moved 3 times this summer..
and even though I was fortunate to sell my house in the USA and actually get a decent price. I still had to move in with my brother, because Iwasnt ready to move out of the country yet.. then I moved 1400 miles away to a small cottage here in Canada, while under going the stress of having a house built, then I finally got to move into the house.
I was ready to completly loose my mind..  And yes I hammered down a few drinks here and there.. The stress was to much for me.  Its exciting and depressing all at the same time.  I felt a relief.. but pending depression with all the work I knew I had in front of me.

I alway came out here to the board because I knew you guys were out here.

and even if I only had a few minutes to read your posts, I always felt a little better. Because I have always considered you guys my Metal Family.  And it was a refreshing thing to be able to have this here while I was so stressed.
And the concert ... thank god for the Priest boys.. because by the end of July.. I was so tired and stressed. And I know the priest men knew that.. they are like thier fans.. Very Compelling and understanding..  ANd yet took the time for me and my family, I felt so blessed to know them and had a wonderful birthday, thanks to them.

You would be missed here.. and I know people here would miss you,  forget the chat rooms.. Sometimes the people in those places feed off of other misery, and like to cause pain.. You are too good for that!

LUV YA!

MG

I apologise - i let certain elements get to me. I did think about giving the whole thing up, but that would leave me looking like a loser - which i am not. I thank u all for the comments, which made me realise i am still 'part of the team' - i will overcome the demons and hang in there. I think part of me is scared due to the impending move....

HAAA!!! Gloating rights well-deserved! Scared the hell out of Calvin I was screaming so loud at the tele. Not only did I call my nephew and hang up on HIM, I called my father to call my sister to give her grief! LOL!!! Hey, it is only once in a decade that I seem to be able to do this, right? Better make it last!

Glad to say the Yeats didn't enter into the picture. Things did NOT fall apart. The center held! www.potw.org/archive/potw351.html

Oh MAN, guido! What a GREAT game!!! Really fun to watch! Are they going to pull it off or fold??? Just a great, great game to watch!  As for the Yeats reference, I seem to remember it as something about a bird? Young people turning from the ways of old or something like that. I cannot recall.

This is a song .. for my good friend Steve.. aka Necroticsist,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

There's no way out of here, when you come in you're in for good
There was no promise made, the part you've played, the chance you took
There are no boundaries set, the time and yet you waste it still

So it slips through your hands like grains of sand, you watch it go
There's no time to be lost, you'll pay the cost so get it right
There's no way out of here, when you come in you're in for good

And never was there an answer, there an answer
Not without listening, without seeing

There are no answers here, when you look out you don't see in
There was no promise made, the part you've played, the chance you took
There's no way out of here, when you come in you're in for good

Please dont leave forever.. It would make us all very sad esp me....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[guidogodoy] Saturday, October 25, 2008 3:59:43 PM
RINGER!!! YEAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

Damn...where IS that college sports thread?
[guidogodoy] Saturday, October 25, 2008 3:40:34 PM
You know, I cannot help but be reminded of the poetry of Yeats when I watch such a game....often MSU, CERTAINLY the Lions. Know your classics? "The Second Coming"...

[guidogodoy] Saturday, October 25, 2008 3:15:49 PM
Last goofy MSU fumble point in case. However, I already got in two phone calls to my sis's house. First to confirm with my brother in law that he knew some game was on, second to be hung up on by my 8 year old nephew because of my laughing / singing of the MSU fight song!

Already called Mom to make sure that the "others" hadn't gotten to her.

BTW, WHAT?!? Foot touched the damn PYLON?!?? CHEATING BASTARDS!!!! WTF!!??   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Deep Freeze from Saturday, October 25, 2008 2:58:42 PM)
