YAY!!!! BARE CHEST THURSDAY IS TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!
Time to do some pic searching... I hope I find some good ones... [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Mara from Wednesday, July 30, 2008 5:43:44 PM) | | Mara wrote: | | Spapad... I've considered it, but right now, I am happy with my specs!!! I know that Rob and Scott of Priest wear glasses in their off time. Scott wears contacts for most of the day, but I have seen photos of him wearing his glasses. And I'm sure the other guys ALL need reading glasses by now:) Anyhow... this was off the Sinfully Delicious topic, but thought I'd share. Don't forget ladies.... tomorrow is BARE CHEST THURSDAY!!! |

Thanks Mara, I'm sure I'll get used to it. After all I'm 43 and my eyes are showing they're age now I suppose. The ones I ordered are kinda nice if I get used to them they are just frames on top and nothing on the bottom but glass and that's about as no glasses, glasses you can get. I know I'm lucky it's only my far distance that is messed up, so far. But still will take getting used to.
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!! DID SOMEONE SAY BARE CHEST THURSDAY!!!!!!!! Well , I will have to break my no pic posts till priest just for that day!!!!!
Well, I'm off for tonight ladies! I am atually tired today! Night! [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Mara from Wednesday, July 30, 2008 5:43:44 PM) | | Mara wrote: | | Spapad... Hey Paper!
Since I went ahead and got the glasses I'll try it for a while. I only need to wear them for stuff that require I see at a distance, like driving,(blind as a bat at night), watching TV, seeing Priest clearly etc... If I really decide I cant stand the glasses after a while I'll go back and beg for contacts! I have contacts, but I hate putting them on...plus once something gets in those things, its hard to get rid of it. | | spapad wrote: | | Good night all my girlfriends! I'll be sneaking a peek or two at work tomorrow.
Oh God, I completely forgot! I will have to wear glasses for the stage! I have lost my long distance vision and the Dr. fitted me for a pair today. Wont Put contacts on me because then I could not see up close with the contacts. 43 years old, made it this far, but I was afraid to go see Priest without them because it would suck to not be able to fully appriciate them!
So yes, Spapad is a glasses wearing girl now. How awful is that. I'll have to take them off all the time though because I won't be able to see up close! Oh, I'm gonna hate it! Hate glasses they make me look like a total dork, >>>>>>>>>except sunglasses!
Ah well, what am I gonna do, do to a show I paid serious money for blind or go looking like a geeK! Took my cool factor down a few notches! LOL LMAO! |

Where Molly Ringwald's sister gets a little too relaxed right before her wedding? You do NOT want to be like that. Also, (this is for everybody) don't drink too much, it would suck to not be able to remember meeting the guys - lol!! | | spapad wrote: | | hey Guido, Whats up! At least you managed to make a sentence. Personally, I am worried about getting that far.
QT. GREAT! What was the final decision on the necklaces? Let's see when you get a chance. |

I remember part of the meeting well....we met Glenn, Ian, KK then Rob. The problem was I met Glenn first. Everything after that was a bit fuzzy. QT, what an awesome meet and greet. Kudos to you for being so very well prepared. I hope everybody here has a great experience at their perspective shows. I was probably delirious with joy. My sister had to guide me back into the car, up the stairs and into bed while I smiled like an idiot with a glazed over expression!!!! When a friend and I got to meet Scott at a party, I was completely normally functioning, and carried on a lucid adult conversation.. It's just that meeting the METAL GOD made my brain go goofy..... |

QT, I hope my night turns out to be as special and rememorable as yours, Looks like you had an awsome time!
Way to go! Only 40 people got those huh? Wow, I messed ordering my VIP 4 times before I got it right good thing I started as soon as the box office opened.
The switchboard was ringing off the hook the whole time i was trying to order tickets at work and I got so flustered someone else had to answer the thing for me while completed my transaction or I was probably going to go off on some poor sole for interrupting me a such a time in my life! The Meet & Greet!
It was very well organized. I was told by Amanda that the max is 40 people per show. They have 20 minutes to get 40 people through. That works out to 30 seconds per person. It was very rushed, so make sure you are organized and calm.(For me jumping up and down while in line helped.) Because it’s all over in less than 1 minute. If there is 2 in your group, like with myself and hubby, you get 1 minute and 1 photo only. BOOO to the one photo! Didn’t we pay for 2 VIP tickets??? Any ways, for us when we got closer to the front of the line you can start to see some band members. I first got to see Rob and KK as we got closer. My heart was pounding. That’s when the jumping helped to clam me a bit. Right before your turn to meet them you’re told, when you see the flash from the people in front of you, GO! My order was Scott, Glenn, Ian, Rob then KK. I don’t know how I was able to keep it together but I did. Maybe the jumping! LOL! About 2 hours before the meet and greet we found out that it was 1 min. of one on one time with the full band and not just a mad mob around the band. I lost it. I cried off all my make-up. Any ways, as I walked up to Scott I gave him a big hug, then hugged Glenn, then Ian, Rob and KK. As I was hugging them my hubby was following behind me getting my Mega Metal cards sighed. (I’ll post the pictures.) After I hugged KK I turned to Rob and handed him the bag of necklaces I made for them. He took it and said OHHH Cool, thank you. I was very well orgainzed. I had 5 bags labled with their names in one larger bag, just incase there was not time to hand one bag to each member. Then I went back to Scott to get my Judas Priest Legal Tender Real USA dollar bill signed. That bill got us at least an extra minute with the band!!! Thank you eBay for selling wickly cool stuff! They had never seen one before. They seemed to think it was pretty cool that their picture was on a real legal tender bill. (I'll post the picture and YES it is REALLY legal tender.) I had a protective clear cover over the bill and forgot to take the bill out. Both Scott and Glenn signed the cover and not the bill. Luckily I was not in La La land (at that moment) and noticed before it got to Ian. I remember Rob saying “We need to make sure we sign the bill” and it went back to Scott with the cover off. While they signed I was clinging to Rob the whole time. I remember rubbing and patting his back and telling him I love him. He said “I love you too” I know he must say it to every fan that says it to him but who cares? I DON"T! THE METAL GOD HIMSELF TOLD ME HE LOVES ME! His voice was so soft and sweet. I hope I never forget that moment. I also got a “We love you too” out of KK. I might have told him a couple of times too. Some of it’s just a blur. I mostly stayed between KK and Rob. After they all signed the bill someone said “picture time.” Everyone scramble for a moment, the flash went off and the next people were up. As we walked away I let out a little scream and started to bawl like a baby. My hubby told me after he could tell all the other fans were so happy for me. We met and breifly got to know so many cool people at the Pre Party. After that the night just got better. I’ll start a new post for that when I have more time. I have some really cool stories to tell. This was just half of the best night of my life! |
