Quite better with differences. It's equally as good to just get along.
I don't seem to be able to do that. This site has me self analyzing myself so much
it's becoming a source of depression. I'm starting to think I should just give this site(and myself) a break
and stay away for awhile. Clear my head and start again.

Look. Arguments are gonna happen. This is a Judas Priest site. Not everyone is going to like every single aspect of the band's history, music, members, etc. You happen to like the Ripper era. Guido and a few others don't. You know what they say about being different. Without any differences, the world would be boring, right?

It just seems as though most of my posts just don't go over here. I took the pictures down because
they had people arguing. That wasn't the intent.

I've removed all my pictures from Photobucket except for the cards I left for Freeze.
I was hoping people would find them interesting. Instead they just cause grief. I mistakenly
quoted Guido, this message is for all. Peace!  [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Tuesday, March 09, 2010 4:15:10 PM) Edited at: Tuesday, March 09, 2010 5:53:43 PM

I really don't think that anyone has a problem with you, Bud. Like you, we just express our opinions as do most "normal" folks around here. If you like Ripper-era, are a vegan or worship a rock in your backyard, good. State what you will. Just don't expect everyone to agree with you.

You have been respectful here and I think we all appreciate it. It is certainly more than we can say about certain ... ahem ... "members".

All is well in the land of Priest. Just like in real life Ripper has been removed.
I deleted his pics from photobucket so they should disappear. I'm starting to think this site is not for me.
I only seem to cause conflict. Occasionally purposeful, usually not. Take care, Peace!

Well said, guido! I am in your camp on this one and not because of Ripper, personally. I have always maintained that Tim Owens is a great vocalist. One of many that I favor, however, he is not Rob. All of that said, he did a wonderful job of "filling in" and all that so I would not begrudge the man his fame but I did not care for the music Priest produced during that time period. It would not have mattered if Dio or Dickenson or any other great vocalist were there at that time.

I do not understand why so many people feel that it is some kind of slight against Ripper to say that they do not like the Priest years of that era. Like guido, I do not care for the Van "Hagar" years, either. Still like Sammy. Great musician. I just did not care for him with Van Halen.  At least the music, for the most part, remained the same with him in the band. Priest seemed to have went in a different direction with Owens. At least that is how MY ears hear it.

[guidogodoy] Tuesday, March 09, 2010 1:57:58 AM
Not to be aggressive but did you like the Van Halen / Sammy years?

It is well-known that I liked them individually but not together save for "Get Up." Twas hard for me to boycott Priest without Halford but I just couldn't stand it. Not to badmouth Ripper nor you. Like you said, some simply liked it, some didn't. I am most certainly in the "didn't" camp. Tough as everyone knows that I think they are the greatest band to have walked the planet!

Kewl tix, BTW. Thanks for showing them off (even if you didn't come and say "hello" at PINE KNOB, MI. LOL!). I got a real kick out of seeing how your seats changed over the years and venues. The changes over the years. Were I to post all mine, you'd see a funny progression: lawn, closer, closer, first row! That is a sign of age, I suppose, for good or bad.
