I so wish I hadn't made some of my earlier posts. I'm getting it now.

You're right. It IS scary!! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!! Nonetheless, a great honor and long overdue.  And as for the meaning of Dissident Aggressor, I think you are right, or close. I took it to mean East Germany as a whole under communist rule. In any event, I REFUSE to post a comment in yet ANOTHER Thread created by a newbie to ask ONE FREAKING QUESTION!!!!!  Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!

Totally agree. Lady Gaga doing Priest scares me more than Lady GaGa.
But still, just one bone from the mainstream, thanking the Priest for their
contribution to the music world. That would be nice.
I guess the Grammy itself is the bone I'm looking for.
    ...at least they got that...

Like I said, it is probably far better that it comes down this way. I mean, do we really want to see a "tribute" to Priest by say, Lady Gaga or start hearing Musak versions of "Living After Midnight" in elevators?

I guess I shouldn't be surprised. As glad as I am that they won, it is still a bit of a disappointment
to hear(read) you're post. 40 years behind the scenes creating some of the finest metal one's ears
have heard, and still no respect. What must they do? I'm just glad the people here are wise enough
to see beyond the mainstream and pick up on the GREATEST metal band of our time.
...Long live the Priest and their fans...

OK, so here's a REAL "Piss Off"....

I have read three reviews on last night's Grammys from three different "major" news sources. I was reading the infamous "Best and Worst" of the Grammys material. Not ONE of them mentioned Priest. NOT ONE! All kinds of "finally" this and that for people like Neil Young but not one word about Judas Priest. They bury the category in the "pre-cast", make NO mention of it that I saw and not one "informational source" even mentions the winner.

Interestingly enough, this is not necessarily a "bad" thing. Surely, whomever it is that makes the decisions at these ceremonies will never live down that "Jethro Tull" incident anyway so it would stand to reason that they simply avoid the category all together, unless Metallica wins for the umpteenth time and the "mainstream" media can go on about how "cool" they are and whatnot. A local anchorman here in Vegas ran a clip of Metallica and was going on about how "great" they are and all but I still have NO idea why the clip was shown on the morning newscast, as it had nothing to do with the news at the moment.

Perhaps we should take solace in the fact that Metal is, by and large, still a relatively ignored and misunderstood genre in the mainstream world. God knows they screw it up EVERYTIME they try to report on it or otherwise discuss it anyway. When a nerdy, local news guy that owns cats and lives alone starts talking about Heavy Metal music during his broadcasts, I fear we are heading down a very, very bad road. Better to live in obscurity and enjoy the true form of our music than have it commercialized and trivialized by the idiots on television that think Metallica are the poster-children of the genre.

Oh stick with tennis. Federer! Takes #16!!! THAT is news.

Serena won too the other day. Henin's comeback from retirement to make a final was the real story there.

Money better spent on a concert anyday. Sports stars care about contracts and endorsements, and musicians care about giving you a quality show. Yep, not a big sports fan. A different animal which I don't have much interest in. lol

Have to agree with you on most of that rant. Apart from MLB, I do not really follow "professional" sports. I am a college sports nut. LOVE college football. I do understand that baseball is just as bad as any other pro sport but I have it in my blood and will always enjoy it. The Princess also loves it so we watch together.

Not a fan of the Pro Bowl, NBA All Star or even the MLB All Star games. I watch usually because there is nothing else on that interests me. The NBA is the worst of all , for me. Do not like it at all. I have not even watched ONE game so far this season. Just does nothing for me. I will likely watch today's Pro Bowl but not from start to finish. I will be doing other things as well.

For me, the college game is the best in all events. Football, basketball, even SOME baseball. Don't really follow hockey so I omit any comment on that. Don't like golf or tennis, either. Will watch the Olympics but, again, I am here ALL DAY and it will likely be all that is on anyway.

The freakin' Pro bowl being on before the Superbowl. Actually I'm pissed that that pisses me off.
I couldn't give a rat's ass about the Pro bowl, I wasn't going to watch it anyway. Long removed from
caring about that shit. What really pisses me off is that anyone else cares either. Pampered, overpaid,
egotistical, whiners. Half of them are dropping out just because it's in Miami. That pisses me off too.
WTF! Screw the millions of fans who want to see it, the ones who ultimately foot the bill for their excesses.
Why should you give them your time. (or more importantly, you're money). Sports are put on such a high
pede(stool ) in this country. That pisses me off. Every event is a must see event. (a must give me your money...
................

Oh' wow, someone stop me. There's no one here and I'm sitting here doing nothing. I started rambling and lost
control...shit..calmmmmmmm...deep breath.....................O.K.
