Haha yeah good old spelling errors. I don't check half of what I write anyway haha. Rob does write from the heart in Priest too, he just creates a mini story in most of the songs.

Uh, Joe, I think I agree with you but I don't know about Halford being Wicker. LOL I love them, and that's all that matters. Rob writes from the heart with them. and I wish Priest would give him carte blanch to do that too! Why the hell not. That was the whole point I was getting at. Just a little chicken to come right out with it! LOL

Why do you had to admit liking the Halford band? The were freakin' wicker. As well as Fight too. Here's looking forward to Halford 4 if it ever sees the light of day.

How the hell did they trasform into what they are now? Look at them here! Denim & Leather....and now they look like dorks!
I swear, back in the day they could never of gotten away with looking like the way they do now.
Nowadays, its "hip to be dork". They will never match the eliteness they once had with Cliff.

I have to agree, except for Loch, it was the better of the two. And this is something I hate to admit, but I Love Halford! Real, in your face metal! Great lyrics! This is what happens when Halford writes for himself? Then it's awesome! Let him to it!

Yes I agree, but still Nostradamus is an OVERKILL. If they would of shortened it up to 10 tracks, with a variety of songs than it would of been better. There are not a variety of songs...it all swings to the slower side and is one dimensional in my opinion. And at this late in the band's career..I think its a shame that they want to "evolve"...I think that 'Angel Of Retribution" is a perfect Judas Priest album with a little bit of everything the fans wanted.

Only one thing in Priest's defence, they have always evolved. The only period I can think they didn't evolve well enough was Defenders, being SFV's twin almost, and well turbo just seemed to be catering to a larger audience than their core. Nos, is an album of verteran rockers who decided to tackle something different and it does stand alone as a good work. Is it Painkiller? No. But if everything they made sounded exactly the same we wouldn't like them.
Metallica is just sad. They just seemed to have lost an edge and a desire to do more. Trying to divorce yourself from your true roots is a joke.
Ever listened to Disturbed? Relatively new band, older stuff is a work in progress and their effort last year was truely awesome. I hope they continue to evolve as well, but not forget their roots.

Exactly spapad, exactly!!  I think this about "Nostradamus" as well.Don't get me wrong here...Nostradamus is far better than any lame Metallica album by far,but it is the same thing here what were talking about. The "world" is not craving "Nostradamus" from Judas Priest......they are craving a "British Steel" and a "Angel Of Retribution" or a "Painkiller"...not something so different that it covers up your favorite band's "SOUND".

The world is not craving a shitty Metallica album like "Death Magnetic"...they are craving an album like "Ride The Lightning". No question.

Sounds like a band that got too big for their own good. Why do bands think that to move forward and "sophisticate their sound" means it's what the world is craving? I understand experimentation, but they are just throwing out shit now I wouldn't play in a million years. Young people buy it because of brand band recognition, not because they true appriciate the band. IMO

Yeah spapad, what a joke in I think 1996? When Lars came out on MTV awards and said:   "Metal is dead people"......"Get Over It".
What a fuckin joke this band has turned out to be.They are the laughing stock of all time in the black/death metal underground.

Yeah Metallica fuckin sucks!! Those of us who were there in 1983-1988 know what the "real" Metallica" atmosphere was really like....they were NOT a "JOKE" at all back in the mid 80's with "Cliff" ...not at all...they were heavy metal's "future"..as we thought at that time.

When Cliff died,so did Metallica. If he was still alive,he would of left Metallica when they were writting "The Black Album"..Cliff would of NEVER been a part in this recording, not at all..no way no how.He would of formed his own band under the attitude of early Metallica for sure.

Yeah Justin, that sucks!!  Metallica is the worst disappointment the music industry has ever seen!! Hands down!! I remember back in 1984 I was listening to "Kill 'Em All"  ....then a friend came up to me and said :Hey JD listen to this.....and he put head phones on my ear and played "Ride The Lightning" for the first time...and I was in awe of these guys,as Ride The Lightning had just been released...we were stoked on this album man,it was good times...then 2 years later we both were at a party in 1986 and another friend put on "Master Of Puppets"!!

Man those were the good old days!! And then Cliff Died, they put out And Justice For All...which now does'nt seem so bad,really...even at the time we were like "..ok..its alright"....but maybe the next one will be better...and then to the horror we watched in 1990 or 91 I can't remember..but "The Black Album" was released and we all threw up all over ourselves!! Ever since,we hate Metallica and forever will!! YUK! Shame on this band!

I can't say I  hate  Metallica....I think everything they made from  "And Justice..."  and prior is stuff worth having.    The 'black'  album I liked for a time, then...much like a piece of Juicy Fruit gum, it lost flavor.    I couldn't get by anything they made after that one.

I WILL tell you one thing I don't like at all....the fact that Metallica received a nomination for Rock And Roll Hall of Fame induction BEFORE Judas Priest.    That......that's just....WRONG.
