actually...there are a lot of companies that offer tech support here in costa rica and other central american countries...wether you request tech support in English or spanish they answer the phone...the problem is that many people who work in the English section doesn't speak English as they should...also we have companies in charge of surveys (like datascention) and others like sykes and so on...that's maybe why they usually don't understand what you say...or you can't understand what they try to say... Dear sir, I am not understanding what you mean by this "do-dad" terminology. Does this mean your father cannot use the phone?
There should have been a manual that explains everything in plain-japanese. I would refer you to that document as, while I work for Cricket, I do not actually own a cellphone. If it works either way, I would advise you to leave it off.
Is there anything else that I may assist you with today? Ok, please take a few minutes to fill out our automated survey and have a good day!

I was hoping we english speaking people were not the only ones plagued with the bad phone connection and usual uptight service I have come to expect from our indian techie wonders. i will say though if you get an indian female techie she is always more pleasant and fun to talk to. As for what type of CD/RW you have, you certainly can tell without taking apart a machine. Assuming Windows XP: RIGHT click on My computer / pull down to Properties / hit the Hardware tab / then Device Manager button. Click the plus sign next to the CD drives and it will give you all the info you need about your drive without taking it apart. Even if it is only a number (as it probably will be if your drive is old). Take that info down exactly as given (dashes and all if included) and google it with quotes.
