Post here the description and links for this type of the bands. If anybody wants to know something else about the band you posted here he can use "private message" option))) I wanted to make such thread because I always find many enteresting bands in other countries (in Czech Republic, Spain, Hungary etc.) Also of course we hail lyrics translations! ;)

What about these lords of EPIC AMBIENT BLACK METAL, anyone?

Summoning hail from Austria and have devoted their career to making albums filled with atmospheric music with one theme and one theme only for the past 17 years: The Lords of the Rings's world!

Highly recommended if you like EPIC music keyboard based with haunting vocals. Their first album will appeal to fans of a more traditional in your face black metal.

Personally I like the Viking era better, but anything up to Nordland II will have me mesmerized in awe! Just about to go into "The Golden Walls Of Heaven" on the player here!

Glad to see someone of the old school extreme field here at JP!

Quorthon    1984!!!

Fuckin Eh Delivererofevil!!  Quorthon's Bathory were one of Black Metal's torchbearer along next to Venom and Mercyful Fate back in the early 1980's as you know. They really influenced the Norwegians in the early 1990's when Euronymous flamed up the black metal scene back then, thats for sure. I love Bathory's first 4 albums.

BATHORY                   BLOOD FIRE DEATH                           1988

Bathory's last album of excellence!!!!

The music is so good it doesn't need solos haha. And the videos are meant to shock people and freak them out. It's called getting publicity and getting people talking haha.

DARKTHRONE    Transilvanian Hunger      1994          Norway

Non-famous band "Darkthrone" has been one of my favorite bands since this album came out!!!
[J.D. DIAMOND] Monday, March 16, 2009 5:36:33 PM

Euronymous           circa 1993                       Lead guitarist of "MAYHEM"

Euronymous was the founder of Mayhem,a non-famous band that started the second wave of black metal continuing where Venom,Mercyful Fate,(old)Slayer,Hellhammer,(old)Celtic Frost, and Bathory had left off. in the early, early 1990s.

Rob Darken   circa 1994     of     GRAVELAND

Graveland is a non-famous one man band from Poland. This guy writes some killer Viking-Black Metal if your into this genre.
[J.D. DIAMOND] Thursday, March 12, 2009 4:39:18 PM

Although "Quarthon" of "Bathory" invinted 'viking metal"(even though I do not like any of his viking metal works)...."Rob Darken" of  "Graveland" is hands down the "master" of this genre. "Immortal Pride" 1998 is a master piece to say the least.   I do not agree with his personal National Socialist out look and philosophy by all means, but that does'nt mean that his "music" is not valid. It is amazing.A+ I give this album.

A lot of people might dismiss this band as another on the Viking Metal bandwagon, but they're actually one of the best I've come across and a probable contender for the 'most obscure language' in Färörska, (from the Faroe Islands).

Fine, thank you! Hope all is well with you too!
As for Rata blanca, keep in mind it is only this YEAR that I think I can say that I spent more time in the States than abroad. They were extremely popular in México as well. Angeles and Rata were probably my first two latino metal bands I ever bought, now that I think about it. I always loved their dedication on Guerrero del arco iris: Dedicado a Bach, Vivaldi y Deep Purple! Jaaaa!   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by adrianaec_88 from Monday, February 23, 2009 5:18:30 PM)

I wouldn't exactly call them non-famous either. I perhaps outside the hispanic world.

Personally, I own every disc Rata Blanca ever made.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by adrianaec_88 from Saturday, February 21, 2009 12:08:18 PM)

Yup. Sure are a great band. A bit sick in the videos at times, but the music is awesome. The only thing that I miss with them are solos.
