British Steel is at the top. Always will be.

Stained Class for sure number one. I can't choose those to be 2 or 3 because it keeps changing. Stained Class is a great heavy metal album in general.

British Steel

That's a hard one. The first one I bought was Stained Class. Sound wasn't great (probably technology at the time), but I did like Beyond..., Exciter and White heat...

Next one (for me) was British Steel. To this day, I have not found anything I do not like with this album. My first favourite was Steeler, but later I think that You don't have to be old to be wise has become my favorite. In the 80's I bought a bootleg (Unchained) - sorry -  sound sucked, but it really made me thinking. Point of Entry isn't that bad.

Anyway, the answer: my all time favourites are Screaming for Vengeance, Point of Entry and Defenders.... because of these songs:

Desert Plains
Solar Angels
Heading out to the highway
Bloodstone
Fever
Devil's Child
Rock hard ride free
The Sentinel
Night comes down

I liked Painkiller + all the "hard stuff", but the core of Priest  -for me - was the above.

Cheers..

Welllll... Sad wings of destiny, Hell bent for leather, British steel, Screaming for vengeance... I'd say Screaming for vengeance is THE best album of Judas Priest.

Screaming for vengeance, Defenders of the faith, Turbo - golden albums!
Angel of retribution, Ram it down, Point of entry, Killing machine, Stained class, Sin after sin - silver albums ( hard rock, heavy metal, hard'n'heavy)!

I totally agree with you...I think that the most appropriate question would be "do you have a favorite JP album?" ...some people have 20 favorites or so...some of us have 3 or 4 instead...

Point of Entry

I've been asked this lots of times before...and my answer hasn't changed or wavered any...I can never pinpoint one album of Priest's that truly stands out above all others...it's like asking a parent,  "..which of your 20 children do you love most?"    LOL

I will say this....Priest have an album for every mood...and it seems each tracklisting for each album suits every mood as well!!    Truly among the most diverse and interesting metal bands ever assembled...hence--why I've been a die-hard fan since 1980-'81 and haven't looked back since!!

Oh yes, I really like Nostradamus.  It would be awesome if they could play this in it's entirety.

Yeah Nostradamus also the great album of Priest. It's like rock opera + heavy metal! In fact it's also the best.
