Sounds like you know what your doing! Way more than my uncoordinated self could ever do! LOL

BTW, if you get the chance to go to see the new "A Christmas Carol" GO!!!         Saw it tonight. Wow 3D has come a long way and this movie was pretty damn good! The lighting is just of the period, the effects are awesome! I loved it. You know a movie is good when the audience feels compelled to applaud at the end of it.

Vail - Back in Black, LOL! A song I enjoy very much.
Spa - Yeah I think there's some double kick in it, not a lot though. But there's also some ghost notes from what I can pick up. I'll try playing it one day, but I'll focus on fairly easy songs for now, and will work my way up in my own time.

Starbreaker is played with a double kick bass is it not? That might be what's giving you trouble.  Sounds like you are comming right along!

Hahaha that is so true Spa!!!! If only I could subject him to what the dog goes through!!! In a perfect world, as you say.
Vail - the drumming is coming along well. Teaching myself AC/DC at the mo, then maybe Hot Rockin. I'm in love with Starbreaker at the moment too, but it's a bit too technical for me right now haha.

Hmmm...well, let's hope for the best for the doggy. Maybe the adults will learn something about dog care in the future.

How's the drumming going along?

Personally, in an ideal world you should be able to do something like dart him with a sedative when he comes out in the back yard. Chain him to that fence and take the dog to a new owner who would love and respect it the way it should be. And while he's passed out be sure to strip him to his underwear, take blackmail photos of him with a pile of booze bottles around him and some porn mags, I'm sure you wouldn't have to buy any just look in his house! LOL Then when he wakes up cold, and then gets hot as the day goes on as he has no shelter and that little bowl of water is not going to go too far, you can listen to the Howls that his dog has been making in pleading, only in human form. In a perfect world, he would get exactly what he deserves.

Yeah, I reckon it's a family thing too - difference is, our dog is a PART of our family, not the 'family dog'. The adults do their bit, from what I occasionally see, but they have strange views on doggy discipline and what not. They use too much negative reinforcement, which doesn't really work.

For the kids? Personally, I think the whole family should be involved in taking care of a dog. If it's just for the kids, then the dog won't stay with them for too long. The less the dog gets to know the adults, the more likely it'll distance itself from them or react in a negative manner if they come too close. Having a pet, especially a dog or cat, is a big responsibility.

Unfortunately not. I think this dog is more for the two young kids that live there - they give the dog cuddles and everything, it's the adults who need a lesson in how to care for a dog. Too many people think you can treat a dog like a cat, which is silly, they're way different.

Do you know anyone who might need a dog? Maybe a friend who's looking around for a new companion?   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Becks from Friday, November 06, 2009 9:48:53 PM)

Not a bad idea Vail! And Hellrider, I would love to adopt him, he's lovely. But I'm not allowed a second dog, LOL!

Here's an idea! Go to the SPCA and ask about pamphlets or books that talk about proper pet care. Buy them and stuff them into the neighbors' mailbox while they're still away. Oh! And look innocent when they ask you about them when they get back.

oviously does not give a shi? about the dog going away for a entire weekend leaving it out like that.i would be very tempted to go over there unleash the dog and bring it home and when the owner gets back try to adopt it from them.

Next time you go away on holiday buy a postcard and mail it to him. On the back have nothing but his name and address and "You are a loser" written on it. He'll be torturing himself wondering why the hell someone in Rarotonga has sent him this.

I think he gets up, but can't be bothered spending time with the dog. Then punishes it for getting bored and being silly, as dogs do when they are bored. Yeah, he's a winner, not, LOL!
