Trust me I am LOL! He voices General Lionwhyte, and a second character that I think is called The Baron - who from what I have seen, looks just like Rob circa 1982! Too cool! [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by spapad from Saturday, October 17, 2009 8:09:01 PM)

Guido!! Brutal Legend is way cool! Craig has been playing it, we've come across Lemmy and Ozzy so far, and in the soundtrack so far we have heard, amongst others, Dokken, Motley Crue, and Priests Leather Rebel It's a funny game and lots of fun, so says Craig anyways, I haven't had a chance to play properly yet lol.

Happy Saturday, gang!!!! Another week in the books, as it were. The year is coming to a close in a rather "expediant" fashion, I think. The Princess was forced to bow out of her work with the Justin Timberlake charity event here in Vegas. So sad. Her pain was simply unbearable and so she reluctantly asked to be excused. Such a shame , too. She was really enjoying her time there.
On a lighter note, the house is beginning to take shape for the holidays!! She went to the store and got some decorations that cover both Halloween and Thanksgiving so we are good for a couple months! Won't be long before she has me break out the Christmas gear! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I truly love decorating for the holidays. Well.....not so much doing it as having it. Love the decorations and the feel of another holiday season around the ol' homestead. There was a time when I was much more like JD in that I hated the holidays. As I have grown older, I have learned to appreciate the spirit of happiness and tradition that it brings and less the bad part (and YES, there IS a bad part) I know now that it is not all about gifts and blowing hundreds or even thousands of dollars. It is about the time we spend together and the memories we make and those we share from long ago. It is a time to remember. A time to re-live those moments in my youth that mean so much more to me now. A time to recall those that are no longer here with us. A time to smile.
I honestly hope each of you are ready to enjoy another holiday season. Take a smile from the little things...maybe watch "Its the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" or the always enjoyable "Charlie Brown Christmas". I never miss either of those and I have seen them both over and over for nearly fifty years! Maybe I will go buy some egg nog and just sit by the fire with the Princess. No matter what it is that you do during this time of year, I encourage you to make certain you do it...especially THIS year. I am certain it will mean more to you that many years gone by. We all need it this time around. We really do!

Sorry to hear the Princess had to bow out of her duties for the JT charity. Give her love from us all. Seemed like she was really looking forward to it.
As for the holidays. I learned what the holidays were for when I had my own child. Time spent with her making costumes for Halloween, getting those bizzare christmas lists written to "Santa". Watching her light up brighter than the tree on that special morning, never caring if I ever got another gift in my life as long as I could see her smile. Watching relatives love and enjoy her presence in their lives. She is my everything. She is my gift to this world.[Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Deep Freeze from Saturday, October 17, 2009 8:14:31 AM)

I mean, as if I don't have enough of a full plate going, NOW I have to make sure my little 'yomo' keeps up with the baked goods in the 'Sweets Factory,' else, all the baked goods you make get burned up and you waste more money having to clean the ovens and make more cakes, muffins, pies, or whatever da fuck else they're makin' us push these days. The background music is gay as fuck-all though....I strongly recommend those who have a yomo of their own to mute the sound....'tis a lot more liveable that way...
Apart from that, the wife's daycare is prospering nicely. She has (very possibly) another wee one starting next month, and still has her 2 pretty much from the beginning. Two little girls she also looks after should return soon once they both recover from a wicked case of pneumonia, and in January, the mother of a boy (which was my wife's first 'charge') will be birthing a new baby girl, who'll probably start in the daycare once she's reached 2 months. I dunno if I'd even mentioned this back in the summer (once it was up 'n running, that is)....but..there ya have it.
Me? Meh....more of the same....driving in circles...driving folks crazy, one bus load atta time, and trying to keep my head above water....by this point, I should be able to BREATHE underwater, ffs...
I hope you're all well, happy and healthy...s'been a while...
