My dear, a one meter wave can cause unimaginable destruction FAR past the coastline! We are talking about a surge of water across the ENTIRE ocean that is a meter or two high and VERY dangerous. I do not mean to cause you alarm but it is a very, very serious situation. Please be careful!

Ahhh yep, top story on our main news site, apparently a 1 metre high tsunami is due to hit later today. There's estimated 'arrival' times on this site too, it's due to hit it's first place in about half an hour. Hopefully it is only 1 metre high! Civil defence has mobilised, and nearly all of my family lives in land, so they'll be fine.
