Thus starts yet another day of "ignored" messages.....
[guidogodoy] Thursday, December 11, 2014 11:59:50 AM
I've heard it and already love it! Can't wait for the release!

History, though, has taught me to wait and not pre-buy anything as it typically goes cheaper once released in the US.

Hell yeah! After three decades of being distributed as bootleg recordings of various quality while only a few songs have been officially released as bonus tracks, the Long Beach '84 show is finally getting the treatment it deserves! If you haven't heard the full show by now (as a bootleg) you're gonna love this!

Next year and March! LOVE the album and will probably be a sucker and get it but they have taught me to wait as an US release is also coming. Often cheaper and with a bonus!

Appreciate the info, though.

[HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS] Tuesday, December 02, 2014 5:31:03 PM
Got our tickets yesterday for all 3 days. HELL YEEESSSSS!!! I LOVE Priest and Saxon, and I like Godsmack, Slash, Papa Roach, Halestorm, and Anthrax and there are a few songs by some of the other bands that I like as well.

Ha ha....a note to budred:  "skip Saxon they are not for you".   2 great bands Judas Priest and Saxon mixed in with 40 SHIT bands.  What a nighmare of crappy tunes from alternative artists" Slipknot"...."In This Moment"...."Avatar" ...if someone gave me $1,000 cash to watch HALF those bands I'd turn the cash down. LoL
[guidogodoy] Tuesday, December 02, 2014 12:25:48 PM
"...might watch Saxon..." LOL!!!! You'll certainly make J.D. happy!

Thank you I figured you guys would see it eventually I just got a little excited because this is my favorite concert each year. I considered stopping because of cost and "been there done that" but now with Priest, Slipknot, and In This Moment being there and a few others that I like I had to buy tickets. Hell, I might even watch Saxon.(lol) Maybe I'll post again after, take care!

Lots to be thankful for this year. A new JP album, incredible concerts, getting to meet some of you in person. An absolute blast.

Happy Thanksgiving from the Western Front.

Agreed, J.D.! As I said before, seeing Priest at the Fox in Detroit ranks amongst my favorite concerts! There in a beautiful venue with friends and relatives, caught a GREAT show (EVERYONE was fucking awesome!), caught a pick and had all but Rob come out to meet and greet after the show. As you said, nothing short of pro equipment can fully record the power of high screams and low bass, my bro's i6 did a damn good job on the couple of songs he recorded (mic is MUCH better than the i5 that couldn't handle the range especially so close). Simply outstanding.

Well, I'll take this time to wish all you Pilgrims a happy Turkey day and, hey, the Lions are actually WINNING!!!

vail,HRMG,guido,Becks....thanks yeah it was fucking awsome....and Rob "was on"  christ Victoria and I were blown away.  He did hit a few highs like in Metal Gods that did sound like 80's Rob....the other screams were just like that on Halls Of Valhalla....

...his voice through the P A and how forceful it is ...a youtube clip just can not capture this....it leaves a much stripped down version of what was supposed to be....leaving wide open for the nit pickers to find something not "1000%" perfect.....

His scream on Halls Of Valhalla is how he screams now and its fucking awsome let alone amazing man....people who say he cant hit the highs anymore are full of shit!   Yes he has nights where he barely pulls it off I know but they have become very few and far between.

Richie Faulkner is so awsome and is such a fit for this band its not even funny...none of us saw this coming 4 years ago.

And the Redeemer album seems to get better attention each month that passes......best album since Screaming For Vengeance in my honest opinion. That makes me pretty freakin lucky !  Hell yeah!

I couldn't agree more with you JD!! Rob is still amazing and continues to blow me away. When musicians rave about how incredible he still is, you know it's true, so all the bitchers can just STFU! Rob is ready to go and I don't see him stopping anytime soon I'm so glad that you had an incredible time

Judas Ptiest at the Tacoma Dome last night was fucking UNREAL!  They sounded excellent and as usual the youtube videos does no justice to Halford's vocals.  Yes there are nights he is off a little but at age 63 who cares?

Last night he was fucking ON!  His screams are loud and now at age 63 they are "Raw" but still clear and on key...no they are not as "sharp piercing" as the 80's but that doesnt mean they are not piercing in general...oh no....they are quite piercing actually and again,at age 63 he has a different style of screams and thet were awsome.

People who are wanting vocals clear as the 70's are the same people who consistantly complain at resturants, neighbor's trees hanging over thier fence and a long list of other nit picky demands.

Richie Faulkner was so inspirational as we have seen...pounding his chest, head banging with the front row and his signature solos were a highlight of the night...Glenn was so "cool" as he always is.....his solos were bad fuckin ass,Ian and Scott as well were having a blast.

Richie is the heart of the band now showing now like before that he is a TRUE member if Judas Priest...his solos are so different from K.K.'s as should be but its just such a natural fit...it seems like he has been in the band since the 80's and is the driving force behind Judas Priest now.

Just an amazing display of classic heavy metal from living legends.   The band accrding to an article on blabbermouth, will be going into the studio (2016) to record another album and another tour!

@Headbanger,north american fans et al  , i am hoping that the boys will take a short rest after the Tacoma show and then announce more Canadian dates , the have almost 3 months between the Tacoma date and the sound festivals down under and  before they head to Europe, one would hope that the tour planner would finish north america before going all the way across the globe ,then back to Europe , then back to north america !! But.................

Now for my review of the JP gig in Los Angeles.

Steel Panther came up first, of course. That was a riot. I almost busted my gut laughing at the antics of the band members. Lyrics, especially. Feels as though this is how it would sound like if glam metal bands were honest about love (and about…uhhh…love-making). There were a lot of Steel Panther fans in the pit, believe it or not. There was one fan that was dressed as the guitarist. Another fan next to me drew portraits of the band members, and is also a fan of JP. It would be his first time seeing the latter. Glad I found him, too, ‘cause it got crazy in my part of the pit during JP’s set. Drunk bastards were leaning all over us trying to get to the front. BUT! We didn't let 'em. Heh.

ANYWAY!

Judas Priest. Judas fuckin’ Priest. What can I say. They brought the house down. ROB brought the house down. When other fans say that his voice is better now than before, that he’s reaching new heights with his voice, you better believe it….’cause holy cow, the way he sang Devil’s Child was KILLER!!! The whole set was freakin’ great. I  was in awe the whole time. I was practically in the second row, right in front of Glenn. Even in all the screaming, you could hear him say, "Show your teeth."

...and that was my review. To all the first-timers and fence-sitters: don't miss out on this tour!!!!!
