Right now I am kicking myself that all my Vinyl is in boxes and stored away, since at the time I have NOTHING to play them on! But would Bootlegs count?

The re-release of Best of....

The LP just had the songs. The re-release had the songs plus the interviews. I have both (just for the interviews!). Got it on tape AND picture disc too, now that I think about it! LOL!!!

Oh, I haven't lost by a long shot! Why, I already have TWO albums named and will bet $ that I have all of Painkiller on bootlegs. Problem is that I have so many and they really aren't named by song, just concert. To be continued...

There is only one problem there Guid. Wasn't that Best of released long after JP had broken their contract with Gull, is it not a Gull record? As bad as my memory is tonight I shudder to even ask the question.

Look at the date. It was not the original release. Again, think about it, how COULD it be? "Living After Midnight" was only written / released years later!

"The Best of Judas Priest" is an album in and of itself. YOU have a re-release compilation with completely different songs. This one is a classic and focuses on their early career (starting with 1974 tunes).

1. Dying To Meet You
2. Never Satisfied
3. Rocka Rolla
4. Diamonds And Rust
5. Victim Of Changes
6. Island Of Domination
7. The Ripper
8. Dreamer Deceiver / Deceiver

I think we are probably talking about big tours. I know you hate to lose, just like myself, and we let a kid figure it out before us! Maybe I should go sit in the corner now with my keyboard and all my JP stuff and cry!  So very sad. Too old in the brain, or too fried! Ha!! The early signs of Dementia are upon me!

I hardly think the copy sitting in my collection is a figment of my imagination.... Yeah i'm guessing there is an earlier version of Best of... But the one i have is called Best of living after midnight... oh and i happen to know a guy who lives in Detroit who owns the same copy.....

Now i must depart as i have a bus to catch..

You're right Guido, live is live...if it would have been played during the Ripper years it would count as weel as in some bar in '76...

I can't believe the industry came under such an attack back then, and all those songs seem mild mannered now really.  Compared to some of the c-rap that is out there.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by ronhartsell from Wednesday, February 18, 2009 6:57:08 PM)

The list is quite funny considering everything on that list has been covered by South Park...a freaki'n cartoon anyone can watch at anytime!!!
[spapad] Wednesday, February 18, 2009 6:55:27 PM
I'm sure it got played a long time ago, but there is no traceable record of it probably. Those early european and in country tours would not really count anyway.

Uhhh...what? You'd be wrong. How COULD it be? Living After Midnight was released after Best of...

The US version is simply called "The Best of Judas Priest."

On another note, Sad Wings is only missing Epitaph being played live. I am working on tracking THAT down.
