25 years into their career Iron Maiden were still cranking out classisc quality matal like "The Nomad" from the excellent Brave New World album.

Iron Maiden is one of the best live bands of all time. Excellent live shows.

In case of Mauden there was a clear motivation - they needed to find a place for both Adrian and Janick on board.
But who could be the third guitarist for Priest, even theoretically? No one in the universe, for sure, [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Vaillant 3.0 from Sunday, April 11, 2010 10:36:32 PM)

Hey, you specifically mentioned the three guitarists and how they are supposedly better than Motorhead. If you're going to add a pic at least make it related to the subject. All I'm sayin'. ;)
Now. The day I hear that JP adds a third guitarist is the day I bury my hands into my face and cry. To add a third guitarist will mean the end of the Twin-Axe Attack, IMO, and I'd rather not see it happen, not now, not ever.
Just my two cents.

While we are on the subject of three quitar attack maybe Priest should add another guitarist and bring in some new blood. Maybe this would take them back to a more classic Priest sound instead of this Nostradamus metal. IT would add a new dimension to their live show also. Edited at: Sunday, April 11, 2010 8:56:20 PM

lol at vaillant 3.0!!!!!
Hey 3.0, i knew the pic didn't have Janick in it so there is no error. The pic. wasn't ment to convey anything but Maiden. You're just being "nitpicky" like a certain other member in here. rofl!! So watch it.

HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry. Just trying to point out the error in your pic. I mean, even though Mr. Harris is wielding a guitar-like instrument, it is obviously not a guitar, since it only has four thick strings and the neck is slightly longer. In addition, Mr. Harris does not play it with a pick but rather with his fingers.
Now HERE is the "three-guitar attack" that you wanted to convey. Heheh. Feel free to use it for future posts.
Yep,they rule alright, other metal bands like Motorhead can't compete with Maiden's three guitar attack!!

The excellent "Hallowed be thy Name" live.

To me Maiden are just the commercial front of metal - i remember em when they had guts/attitude...after Bruce left all i could do was gag...Bayley was a complete amateur....and i really don't think they ever got the 'mojo' back....(Just my opinion).
