That's true Spa, going abroad to see family is very expensive. We went to the UK earlier this year to see my sister and it was very expensive.
It will pay off Vail, and being a part from your family in the short term will make you closer in the long term I believe.

Wow! Living abroad must be pretty difficult when it comes to staying connected with family. I have a similar situation as you did: I'm studying in the Northern part of the state and my family lives in the Southern part of the state (about 500 miles away). I can only see my family during the major holidays. It's all pretty hard, but it will pay off in the end.

Wow, a few months without seeing the fam. whould be normal but 18 months, that reminds me of seeing my X's fam. in Greece. Lot's of money to get there and the time just flys by. MG, festivals can be screwed up! Ours had issues too believe me. We had a drunk guy trying to invade our space and at first the security guards were telling us they couldn't do anything unless something "happened". So, it took the guy almost burning Mara and Inga's hair with his cigarette to get the guy kicked out. Rediculous!

Spapad, I am sure your camera will be perfect. Just snap away.

The corrdinators for the taste of MN were so screwed up!! I mean everything, was half ass backwards,,LOL

I couldnt believe what a mess it was.. No security either,, we had squeeze to get up front,, and no-one to check your
Tickets to see if you belong there or not.... was a mess..

Changing lenses, HA!! my sis has been at it for years and takes some pretty good pics, shame they won't let you take the "Good" cameras in. I myself have to stick to a happy snap as I have never fooled with the more advanced ones. And today, Darn, Flora took her camera with her so I'm stuck with my old cannon digital unless I scrape up the money to buy a new happy snap in the time I have left!

HA!! I have the exact opposite problem. I bought a Cannon couple years back paid too much for it and now with technonlogy it takes worse shots than my daughter's camera that I bought for half the price! I'm secretlly hoping she will leave her camera here when she goes to her Dad's for the summer, and she just got a cell phone that takes even better pictures than her camera! LOL
Is your "good" camera one of those you can change lens and all. My sister has a camera like that, she's the shutterbug of the family.
