Oh yes and they are excellent! I have morels pop up in my yard every spring but, sadly, none this year. Probably due to the torrential rain?
Instead, I had some deep fried mushrooms with ranch dressing today. Not the same but still damn good. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Budred from Tuesday, May 04, 2010 5:37:35 PM) | | Budred wrote: | | Has anyone eaten morels. They're the best mushrooms. The only ones I like really.
I eat other mushrooms, deepfried, or stuffed, but morels are the best. I usually only find
a few at a time but I usually only eat them 3 or 4 times each spring so it's all good. |

Ah well, knew it was coming. A couple years ago when I got my car, it was April 11, of 2008 and it freakishly snowing that afternoon which made getting my thunderbird there to the car lot a bit slow. I like my car I have now, but I cried to leave my thunderbird behind! That was one comfortable and sweet ride.
I'll take my Honda over it now, but that day, I wanted to keep my bird. Ah, no. I am from the north and we don't get snow here every year. When we don't, I really miss it. Thus, the yearly ski-trips.
Worse thing here is driving as most don't know how to drive on snow. While I do, the real danger comes from others on the road. So I light a fire! Takes care of any snow-filled anything!
The skurfer to which I refer is a snow skurfer. Basically, it is a sled you stand upon. It has a rope tied to the front of the board. Looks like a pointy skateboard with a rope tied to the front. I am thinking of taking it down the roof of my A-frame. Wish me luck.
