Well another thing is we all know that a Priest show is never long enough!!!!!!!!I hope one day they play an entire show with no openers and play a 3 hour set with an intermission. One can only dream
[heath44] Tuesday, June 30, 2009 10:47:35 AM
I agree.. I am happy they are coming to my home town.It is Judas Priest Eve here in St.Louis and I have 13th Row Center.I am getting fired up already, just glad I work 2 jobs but time is slowing and I feel like a rat in a cage. The release from  a live Priest show is what me body and soul is in dire need of.
[british.steel] Tuesday, June 30, 2009 10:47:27 AM
cmon this cant be the whole setlist! wheres hell bent or Painkiller?? theyve always played those songs!!!
[Sinner Rider] Tuesday, June 30, 2009 10:40:20 AM
Well I will take what I can get! Whooo this friday July 3rd. However I thought they were going to play the older classics, like Hero Hero, rocka rolla, and sad wings stuff... I was really pumped for some of that!
[british.steel] Tuesday, June 30, 2009 10:16:12 AM
i thought they would play Painkiller for sure!
[heath44] Tuesday, June 30, 2009 10:10:01 AM
So they did not end te show with Hell Bent for Leather?
[british.steel] Tuesday, June 30, 2009 10:06:44 AM
WHAT!?! no hell bent for leather or Painkiller?!?!?!?!?!??!!!!!?!?!??!!
[dsfulker] Tuesday, June 30, 2009 10:02:26 AM
LOL!

Of the two songs I was hoping they'd play (but figured they'd never do it), one was The Sentinel. The other was Out In The Cold.

Metal Gods
Grinder

Living After Midnight
You Don't Have To Be Old To Be Wise
The Rage
Steeler
You've Got Another Thing Comin'
Freewheel Burning
Rock Hard, Ride Free

I loved tht they played Rock Hard ride free and diamonds and rust...thts awesome! but i hope they play the Sentinel. fat chance tho. thanks for the review ill be seeing them july 14th!!
[british.steel] Tuesday, June 30, 2009 9:52:13 AM
and they did do the whole album thts the point of the British steel tour, lol
[dsfulker] Tuesday, June 30, 2009 9:51:12 AM
With as much material as they had to choose from for this show, I was pretty happy with the end results. Although IF they'd added a few more songs, I'd have chosen something from that list (Sinner, Tyrant, etc.).
[british.steel] Tuesday, June 30, 2009 9:50:45 AM
Prophecy is the "i am nostradamus" one, its different from the title track Nostradamus, Does anyone have the full setlist?
[Sinner Rider] Tuesday, June 30, 2009 9:39:28 AM
Oh man.. No Sinner? Tyrant? Exciter? Genocide?....
[dsfulker] Tuesday, June 30, 2009 9:38:18 AM
I thought Prophecy was the "I am Nostradamus" song, but I could be mistaken. Regardless, they played the "I am Nostradamus" one.

[Screamin' Demon] Tuesday, June 30, 2009 5:56:55 AM
Sure that wasn't actually the song Nostradamus? I heard somewhere they actually played Nostradamus...I'll be pissed if it's Prophecy lol

Oh yeah - and they also played "Rock Hard, Ride Free" from Defenders. Can't believe I forgot that one, since it's one of my favorites.
[dsfulker] Tuesday, June 30, 2009 12:32:25 AM
Just got back tonight from the Indianapolis opening night for the North American tour and I have to say that Priest is very impressive in concert. This was my first Priest concert ever, so I guess they made an awesome first impression on me. I've been a long-time fan, so this was a real treat. Unfortunately, I've never had the British Steel CD (got most of the others), so there were a few songs I didn't know (that's going to be fixed real soon, tho). But I did enjoy their entire set.

I was a bit disappointed that not all the seats were sold - I sat in the back (best seats I could afford) and had a terrific view of the band (row MM - not too bad in a small venue) over the 4 rows of empty seats in front of me. I considered moving up several times, but decided that I'd rather have the good view than be smushed up against the rest of the crowd. Even though it wasn't jam-packed, the crowd was very loud and I think the band fed on that energy. They performed tunes from many of their albums. I can recall hearing Victim of Changes and The Ripper (Sad Wings), Diamonds and Rust (Rocka Rolla/Sin After Sin), lots of British Steel (maybe the whole album), You've Got Another Thing Comin' (Vengeance), Freewheel Burning (Defenders), and Prophecy (Nostradamus).

Loved the show - Rob was in rare form, getting the audience into the show in what I'd guess was typical fashion, doing his calls to the audience, then getting us to repeat them. Watching Glenn and KK trade off lead on various songs was just incredible, as I've always been in awe of their talents on the guitar. How they can get their fingers to move that fast on some of their faster songs (like Freewheel Burning) just amazes me. And Ian was so into the show - it was great to watch Rob and Ian perform together while Glenn and KK did their thing on center stage. And Scott was terrific on the drums, showing off his talents (and keeping in time, even when the audience began clapping far faster than the band).

Rob changed about 3-4 times during the show, going from his first leather outfit with vest, to another similar suit, then later to a full suit with helmet for the Nostradamus song (complete with staff), and finally to a biker suit when he rolled onto stage on the motorcycle.

Great show - highly recommended!

[heath44] Monday, June 29, 2009 4:57:32 PM
Well I dont know whats worse the wait since March when I bought my tix for Wed nite in St.Louis or now.. 2 days left!!!!!!!The wait is now starting to get to me.Time is dragging.I saw Priest in Pittsburg last year and they still have it.Cant wait to be at the Family Arena surrounded by tons of Priest fans..its nice to look out among the crowd and have the same great music in common with my fellow metal heads!!!!!!!
[sadwingsofdestiny51] Monday, June 29, 2009 4:49:50 PM
GRINDER!  YEAH!
[Healer] Monday, June 29, 2009 4:46:17 PM
I'm reaching out to all the fans out there that live in or near NH. Aug. 23rd date in Gilford NH does not seem to selling very good. Couple possible reasons is (1) this site has not posted links to purchase tickets and (2) tickets are sold directly from the venue and not through Ticketmaster or LiveNation. Here is the link http://www.meadowbrook.net/  Please let's help out of metal gods and get tickets or spread the word to family and friends who may be in the area.  This is a really nice venue and I'm sure everyone would enjoy it!
[Rebel 06] Monday, June 29, 2009 4:05:45 PM
SR the show is not until Aug 13th.
Sounds like a great weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is good practice for the concert!!!

Lol! Oh my we had a cram packed weekend with grad party and then a wedding.. so.. yeah I had some beer and wine... needless to say I was buzzed.. Came home and busted out the record player with "sad wings of destiny" my finance was pissed already cause all 6 discs in the changer are priest.... eventually after the long tune of victim of changes.. he put me to bed.

I had a blast just getting ready for the show... fun times :)!  When is the show in Dallas again?

I wish i was older so i lived in the good old times when concerts werent 90 bucks for just a cheap seat

Hey this makes me feel good to know that I"m not the only that concert fanatic.. There really is nothing like seeing a good show! Lettin lose and headbanging a bit..

[Sinner Rider] Friday, June 26, 2009 10:18:57 AM
You will have a blast! What an awesome first metal show. My first hard show was Korn in 94... the first album. I think I was 11, I'm not sure if I can even classify that as metal. i snuck out with a bunch of friends and seen them at local club in downtown mpls, I though my parent were going to kill me.

I'm a little embarssed to admit that was my first, but it was still fun. A few weeks after that was Pantera then the real fun begin!  The feeling you get at a show the first time is just breathless. JP will blow you away, with the amazing stage performance. This will be my 5th time seeing them! geeez, I"m excited for you too see the show!

Sinner RiderGood afternoon, been realy busy today. I signed on to stub hubb and put a pair up. People are asking outrageous amounts. I figure mine will go first in that case. Also, I saw today on ticketmaster you can sell your tickets as well.  I will let you know how it turns out.
Right now my daughter wants the 104 instead of 204. I am trying to get a handle on seatting for safety. then decide which to sell.

Well, that gives me even more hope to sell my tickets. I just want to break even. I figure I will try Texas Tickets or some place as soon as they arrive.  If they don't want them I may panick.

I WON'T BE IN THE CITY WHEN AC/DC PLAYS HERE. I'LL BE UP IN LAKE GEORGE. BUT I HEARD ANVIL WAS ADDED TO THE AC/DC SHOW AT GIANT STADIUM. THIS WILL BE THE 3RD TIME I MISSSED THEM. THEY PLAYED HERE IN THE VILLAGE LAST MONTH AND BACK IN THE EARLY 1980'S I COULDN'T MAKE THE SHOW. NEVER THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE THIS HARD TO SEE.   LOL.

I'VE NEVER BEEN THERE EITHER. I JUST ASKED SOMEONE AND HE SAID IT IS A REAL SMALL THEATRE. IF BEING CLOSE TO THE BAND IS YOUR THING THEN 104. IF SEEING THE FULL STAGE IS IMPORTANT TO YOU YOU MIGHT WANT TO BE FURTHER BACK. BUT HE SAID ANY SEAT IS A GOOD SEAT. VERY CLOSE TO THE STAGE IS GENERAL ADMISSION WITH NO SEATS.   [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by [email protected] from Thursday, June 18, 2009 11:38:45 AM)

THAT HAS HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE. I WAS TOLD IT WAS BECAUSE WHEN THE RECHECK THE CREDIT CARD VALIDATION, IT FAILS AND THE SEATS BECOME RE-AVAILABLE OR SOMEONE BUYS TIX AND CANCELS THE ORDER.

I WISH I WOULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE MORE PATIENT. I COULD HAVE BEEN 1 SECTION BACK BUT DEAD CENTER. I'M IN THE ORCHESTRA, BUT OFF TO THE RIGHT.  BUT IT'S PRIEST AND I CAN ALREADY FEEL THE ENERGY AND EXCITEMENT OF A 5 YEAR OLD ON CHRISTMAS MORNING. 24 DAYS TO GO!!

I was a little leary of being on the floor with my son for his first concert. I did not want to have to explain to my wife why he got hit in the face with a pair of boobs or some drunken idiot fell on him. To be more clear we are in section 206 seats 3-5. If I can remember maybe we can atleast introduce ourselves at the concert. If I dont see ya'll there have a great time.

Hey Guys, I think I went a bit crazy. Just out of couriosity I kept looking for seats each time they gave me closer.
I ended up buying 3 pairs. The last was sec 104 row P.
It pissed me off they were obviously not posting the best.

I will be selling the other 4 at cost to whomever would like them. Definitely not trying to make any money but wanted the best seats. Like I said at no extra cost to anyone. If you need tickets I have 2 sec 205 MM 13 & 14 and Sec 204 KK 3& $
I think I will keep the 104 row P 6 & 7

I paid $151.85 for the sets of 2. I will wait a few days then go to TX Tickets

Correction, my boss says kep the 204 KK because my daughter would have trouble seeing in 104

Section 206 AA seats. These are to the left of the stage but front row section section and it is to the right of the section closer towards center.

AmboyDukes - thanks very much for the Grand Prairie password.  Much appreciated!

I got center stage in the front row of the back center section, so we're good to go.  My friend & I are taking our sons to this gig - should be a blast.

Did you have the Union Jack shorts? I had the sleeveless shirt. My first real concert too....my big sis had to take me to Blue Oyster Cult beforehand. In '84 I was allowed to go it alone.

My first was 1984, Def Leppard Pyromania
I was lucky, my parents paid $82.00 for my tickets we bought from my older brother's best friend(who is now my current boss) and me & my best friend had 16th row floor. Plus, he bought us beer. :)
My daughter, Savannah is 7 yrs. She was down right pissed after the last concert. She could not believe they did not even play living after Midnight.
I took her to No Doubt a couple weeks ago. It was great. We love Gwen Staffanie.

She was yelling and cheering when I told her yesterday. She is waiting to see if I am able to get tickets today!! This Is going to be the best ever!!!!!!!!!!

Although my favaorite Priest concert to date was Turbo 1986 in Reunion Arena. I was 3rd row center

I am taking my 15 yr. old boy to this one. This will be his first ever and he doesnt know it. I can still remember my first one and how excited I was. It was Nugent/KISS in Fort Worth. We had crappy seats but Nugent still made my ears bleed.

Likewise. Let's hope they play British Steel in Britain

! It's far far far more worthy of being played in it's full glory than Nostradamus.

I'm sure it will be a brilliant gig
