Sabbat - Dreamweaver.

I have been looking for this for years. English thrash band from the late 80s, early 90s. Andy Sneap was the guitarist. He is now one of the top producers in metal.

Just sticking to what I heard is good, JJ, mostly from here or from word-of-mouth.

Has anyone here ever heard "Wild Dogs" by The Rods? I love this album. Does anyone know
where I may find a copy of the disc(if it exists)? I have a friend who has the vinyl but I've never
seen it on disc. I'd copy his Lp to iTunes but it's scratched.

I really don't care for him. I've never liked anything that he has been a part of. He's been
surrounded by talent at different times so I would have to say for me it's him. His music
is a little too "poppy" for me so before I criticize his vocal abilities I would like to say it could
be the music more than him. In so many words I'm not a fan of his.

Another two classics there Vail, awesome stuff. Stargazer is probably the best song Dio ever sang ( maybe ).

Cancer Bats - Hail Destroyer.

[Vaillant 3.0] Thursday, September 16, 2010 9:54:00 AM
I actually heard Stargazer in one of JJ's first Metal Meltdown radio shows. First impression was: "Holy crap! Go Dio!!". It's an incredible song...so epic and so emotional. Now after Dio's passing, I almost want to cry when I listen to it.

I heard it covered in Spanish, and it actually sounds pretty good. Usually I'm not a huge fan of music (especially movies) dubbed into Spanish from English, but this cover isn't too bad. Check out the live version, since YouTube was being an ass and deleted the studio version. Curse you, YouTube!

I hate to agree with Jimmy but "Fabulous Disaster" was definitely the best Exodus album.
And, like he says, probably followed by "Bonded by Blood". "Fabulous Disaster" has a killer
version of "Low Rider" on it. "Toxic Waltz" is cool also. Peace.

You know what? The big four of thrash should really be Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Testament. Anthrax are good but not in the same league as these other bands.

Exodus are playing Auckland on Oct 1st too. Wouldn't mind going to that, their new album is fucking ace!

Yeah Your right there, New Order is a really good album. I was just asking about The Ritual because on that one they go kind of light ( for Testament ). It was just a bit of a departure for them. I had it on cassette years ago and haven't heard it in ages. Just remember the songs Electric Crown and Return To Serenity. Might have to try and dig it out.

I think waiting so long for this DVD caused the expectation factor to rise. In my
mind I may have overhyped the DVD to a point that no matter what I wouldn't be satisfied.
"Never Satisfied" so to speak. The more I watch and listen to this DVD the more I like it.
They did a good job. The film is growing on me also.

Well, parts were great, parts were not so great. All things considered, I find it
(good) at worst. Musically, I think they pulled it off. Rob lacked in a few spots(United).
I loved Steeler, great ending. I don't like the film used. It has a (soap opera) look to it at times.
Amazing clarity though. Overall I like it. Peace!

Right on. I saw that tour! Chaotic in Detroit as well. I remember the women stormed the guy's bathroom and commendeered a stall because the gal's line was too long.

Gotta love metal chicks. Not a SOUL messed with them.

Fantastic album, my favorite Slayer. The first time I saw them live was on that tour.
Slayer, Motorhead, and Overkill at a place in Pittsburgh called City Limits. That was my first experience
with the out of control crowds. At one point so many people were jumping on stage that they literally put
a wall of security on stage in front of Slayer. People were getting crushed up front and they were rocking
the stage. You may find this hard to believe but they stopped playing and were trying to get the crowd to chill,
asking them to move back saying people were getting hurt and the stage was moving. I remember Tom Araya
telling the crowd that this was the most fucked up show ever, and then he was like "Let's do this" and they
started jamming. It was insanity after that. I wish I could ask those guys if they remember that show or not.
Take care.
