THE EXCITING FREEWHEEL BURNING

I was thirteen in 2005 when I first listened to Some Heads Are Gonna Roll on Pandora's web radio. Needless to say, it was love at first sight. And I am with Paul there, because Judas Rising was to come up next. That one was the final blow for me and since then Priest have reigned in my heart.
If it weren't for Scott Travis's, Simon Phillips's or Les Binks's drumming, I wouldn't have become a drummer.

Thanks for the welcome guys.
Priest have inspried me to learn the electric guitar. So went out and bought myself a BC Rich Draco. Can't play it - yet !!
But its really amazing the affect they have had on me, my music tastes and outlook/hobbies.
Being a University Lecturer (in Applied Maths), one has to dress conservatively, BUT on the days when I only have one tuorial to do, its out with the leather/studs etc - turns a few eyebrows I can tell you. |

Good morning Ron!
Your comment is sooooo true! Priest's music is truly timeless and will always rock!
Paul, welcome to the board!!! Post often, so that you're not limited to the newbie section. Listened to it on KNAC internet radio one boring afternoon in work. Emailed KNAC to find ot out who sang it, then went straight out and bought the album. Since hearing it, I have never looked back.
In fact Priest has opened a new door to life and enjoyment.
I have most of the albums now, and dvds. I really really hope they bring out a live Nostradamus concert dvd.
Saw them in Cardiff. Absolutely brilliant.
Long may they reign.

First Priest song was Freewheel Burning. Defenders of the Faith was new and my first introduction to the Priest. Rock Hard, Ride Free off that album is still a top 5 favorite Priest tune. My absolute favorite song is Breaking the Law. Judas Priest was my first introduction to heavy metal, and the addicton has only gotten worse. |
