I agree Michael. Only one epic is needed, and I personally believe Nostradamus more than fits that bill! To me it's an amazing record. But personally I hope the next album is straight out and out hard hitting Priest, good solid heavy metal is what they do best and I look forward to any offering they bring to the table! I love Halfords stuff but I still think Priest has more than enough to say as a band. The next one will be completely in the opposite direction, that's what they do and they are good at it. IMHO. I dont think they will do another conceptalbum.
Mind you, I love Nostradamus - guitarsolo and twinsolo heaven - and Robs voice in, say Death - so deep and powerful..
Mabye we can clone Rob so he can do both Halford and Priest !
But I CRAVE mor KK and Glen solos ----another record YES YES YES [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Necroticist from Friday, March 13, 2009 3:33:50 PM) | | Necroticist wrote: | | Sorry - but i dont want another CD....hated the last one and Rob is better solo imo - dont go off on one...is just my opinion |

I have read that there is a live album in the works.. This could be just rumour but, if it's true then the PRIEST should gather ONLY the best recordings of the HALFORD only PRIEST since the 1988 tour( which was incredible).. ROB was at his best in 88.. There are definitely some great moments from the PAINKILLER tour as well..
Then we move to the 2000's.
Only and I mean only the best, vocally, band tight, and roaring crowds should make up this montage of different shows from all over the world..
They should make it a "triple cd" with a couple of doubles such as METAL GODS from 88 and then the recent 2009 METAL GODS.. That would be interesting and exciting..
Include some great moments from OZFEST and the shows they did in between OZFEST such as The Mohegan Sun show in 2004 where ROB was hitting the highs in blazing fashion..
Obviously since he quit smoking his voice has come back temendously on the 2009 tour so some of these should be included..
Any thoughts??
BTW: NOSTRADAMUS IS A MASTERPIECE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Edited at: Friday, March 13, 2009 3:09:17 PM |

when i heard Priest was doing a concept album I was like NOOOO! Concept albums usually don't go over too well. Being the devote Priest fan that I am I bought it anyway and man it was a metal orgy in my ears lol. This album nukes every other concept album that any other band has ever done. I was mesmerized with it and played it repeatedly on my ipod, computer and in my truck for months and I'm still not burned out on it. Priest still have it in them and I wait anxiously for the next album to come. |

If their next album is anywhere near as good as Nostradamus, Angel Of Retributuin, or Painkiller then i will be happy for all eternity. I just hope that they come around where i live for the tour! I sadly missed their recent one in North America.... :( |

I'd like a kick ass heavy fuckin' metal album that let's me go crazy - from the beginning to the very last second.
Gruesse
Udo
P.S. But calling Nostradamus a boring album is unbelievable in my opinion. The depth of the songs are epic and more than great and if you don't feel it - than what on earth do you feel? |
