I would say there was the use of a drum machine and perhaps Scott Travis did a little "uncredited" work...just me thinking out loud. Ha! Had nothing to do with his race, or maybe it did, but he was "good' with the Nickname, or it would not have stayed round so long.
I don't think Mr. Campbell had a problem wtih the name. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by Budred from Saturday, March 13, 2010 4:13:21 PM) | | Budred wrote: | | I kind of thought that when I read Spapad's line-up post.
The name "Congo" gave it away but I thought maybe that's a
little racist thinking on my part. Since I don't consider myself
to be a racist I thought I would just ask.

Here's one I don't know. Maybe you can help. I saw an early picture of Judas Priest where one of the members
was a black guy with a big ol' fro. Who is he? |

Here's what I got (only because I cheated).
Guitarist John Perry started Judas Priest.
He quickly died and was replaced by Earnest Chataway.
Bassist Bruno Stappenhill.
Drums John Partridge.
Singer Alan Atkins. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by spapad from Saturday, March 13, 2010 10:06:28 AM) | | spapad wrote: | | Yes Bud, it was Tom. I was just comming up with something easy off the top of my head. LOL
Now, your talking the priest line up orginal?? Before KK and Ian joined?? I'd never get that without looking it up.
With them: Alan Atkins, Chris "Congo" Campbell, Kenneth Downing, and Ian Hill.
Best I can do without a book in front of me. LOL | | Budred wrote: | | Who can name the original Judas Priest line-up? Don't look it up like I did.(LOL) |

Dont know what I was thinking. As usuall, your question is smartass and you demand a more technical answer than there is really is.
Answer: Less Binks, Beyond the Realms of death, off of Stained Class.
