Writing "Turbo" in Marbella, Spain! Funny as I listened to it there. Beautiful. loudwire.com/rob-halford-loves-judas-priest-more-ever-reflects-30th-anniversary-turbo/
LOVED "Battle Cry," the DVD and can't wait for my copy of "Turbo" 30 to arrive (due in 2 damn days...grrrr). Looking more for the concert that is on the bonus than anything else there. As for the new recording? Who the heck could NOT be excited about Richie on a new Priest album? I loved ROS! Loved him on the past tours. What he has been able to bring to an "established" band without distorting it or alienating it to the hardcore fans has been nothing short of phenomenal. Just an amazing fit. Glenn has said it, Rob has said it. I think anyone who has seen him play has said it! No, he is NOT K.K. He isn't trying to be and I don't expect him to be. He is simply one talented MO FO who has fit into the band in an almost uncanny and seamless manner. Rob mentions that he knows that "the clock is ticking" and we all realize that as well. However, when both he and Glenn say that we should expect great things from the new recording? HOLY CRAP!! Can't wait!

http://loudwire.com/rob-halford-loves-judas-priest-more-ever-reflects-30th-anniversary-turbo/ @Guido and @JD , I truly agree , I think they are going to blow us away with the next album !!! and yes to the priest shirt , I went to the Loose Moose in Vancouver on Nelson street , Great little bar , good food, friendly staff, and they play metal all day long , the owner is a HUGE maiden fan and a great guy , anyway everyone goes there before you go to a concert because you don't have to listen to mainstream and it is usually a big sing along before the concert(in this case IM, and the sing along was better ;) it is fantastic to be in a roomful of like minded people!!!!!! and there were 150 IM shirts.....1 Priest shirt (of course me , I guess I won lol ) |

You know I love it! Richie's guitar-playing just gives a much-needed "umpf" to 'Priest's live sound.
Now get the DVD (if you haven't done so yet)!!!

@acolytee55 & guido ... I agree, and ha ha nice way to put it acolytee55,your right though.Could ROS production been better? Yeah, sure. But it ain't THAAAAAAAAT Bad,not as bad as people make it out to be that is for sure, they missed the brilliance in the simplicity of the album and it's songs. I guarantee this new album which will be released I'd guess January 2018 will have a better production than ROS. I bet this new album will top Redeemer Of Souls,THAT would be kick butt. |

Oh, my fav was "the Oprah of the metal world!" LOL!!!
To me, not like watching paint dry, though. More like fingernails scratching a chalkboard now! Amazing how I just can't stand to listen to them. On the flipside, I have a buddy who just the other day mentioned Billy Sheehan whereupon, like a good Priest fan, I mention Tipton and his solo album work. Buddy was amazed. He had always liked Priest and, as a guitarist, appreciated the fact that Priest is just at another level musically but then I bring up the whole second Tipton (Entwhistle / Powell) recording and pass both to him. LOVED them and, subsequently, he goes back to Priest. So here we have a guy who normally listens to classical music who is amazed at the skill-level of the almighty Priest? But of course!! Think I could bring the latest recording of Maiden along and have him hear how the "fugues" depart and converge just like a Vivaldi composition? HELL NO! My exact point to him!! Maiden songs of today? The damn FUGUES just run for 13 minutes and change tempos so often that you either get so bored or lose track that they cease becoming a "fugue" by definition! It is all but maddening!!
100% agree that the fanboy ballwashers can HAVE their Maiden of today. I, too, revel in that cult of Priest. Wearing a Priest shirt in a public place such as an airport? Without question, a conversation starter on many an occasion and that conversation has always been a positive one.

@acolytee,guido I read that as well from blabbermouth. Yeah watch,it'll be something kick ass and people will shit all over it with negative reviews like when ROS was released. Although after almost three years now I actually think there are more positive opinions than negative...maybe 60% to 40% of fans like the album,at least thats the way it seems.
I don't know why Priest gets beat up the most with the critics and fans every time they release an album, its been this way since I've been into the band.
While Maiden puts out B SIDE MATERIAL (at best) with every release starting with Somewhere in Time -31 years ago and no matter what they put out,its all great reviews,I just don't get it lol.
Watch this new Judas album top Redeemer Of Souls! I believe they CAN. This band IS truely amazing. Edited at: Thursday, February 02, 2017 5:45:02 AM |

Einige Präsidialdekrete stehen an. |

What a fuckin joke ha ha the new Megadeth boot camp meet and greet camping package or what ever... I know some here dig the band...I've never been a fan of Mega Dave but hear me out... Mr. Dave Mustard is charging $2,000 per ticket just for the regular experience at his Cal. Estate, and $5,500 per person to camp on his property...
They are even having a s'mores party camp fireside where Mustard and Bass player Dave E. Will tell stories lofl. And Dave E. Is the minister on Sunday for church service for the 200 fanboys and girls of MegaDave... This is cringe worthy:
The "Mustaine Estate Package + Megadeth Boot Camp" will get you the following:
* Stay on-site in a private furnished bell tent with beds at the Mustaine Estate in Fallbrook, California Friday - Sunday
* Includes: Full bed with mattress and bedding, wool blanket, throw pillow, lounge furniture, area rug, side table, and a battery-operated lantern.
* Exclusive welcome gift
* Daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided on-site at Mustaine Estate
* Access to on-site private shower trailers and VIP restrooms
* Access to workshops and activities of your choice throughout the weekend
* Access to intimate acoustic performance by MEGADETH
* Preferred seating to campfire stories with MEGADETH
* Priority access to off-site wine tasting with Dave Mustaine (approx. 45 min away)
* Access to gardens and rock n' roll library on-site throughout the weekend
* On-site paparazzi to capture all your unforgettable moments
* Commemorative Megadeth Boot Camp laminate.
Ohhh boy isn't this swell lof loud. From Mustaine:
"Saturday morning, David Ellefson [MEGADETH bassist], as a guy that's got twenty-five years in a twelve-step program, is gonna do a meditational program that morning. And then Sunday, since he's pastor — some people would question that — he's gonna be doing a little non-denominational church service for us on Sunday morning. And then we're gonna do some more clinics and stuff like that. And Saturday night, we're gonna have like a s'mores party, and we're gonna sit around storytelling and stuff like that."
Lol what a joke.

It's confirmed, Turbo is also getting a 30th Anniversary release: http://noticeboard.judaspriest.com/news/fullstory.asp?id=131B4902-5C5E-4792-A6D2-741CF083BFB5
Slightly surprised that they're actually doing this, considering that it's among their more controversial albums and the band is seemingly willing to forget the whole thing ever existed (bar Turbo Lover).
The choice for bonus content also threw me off - following the example of Long Beach 1984, the St. Louis 1986 radio show would've been logical as it has been used for a number of b-sides and bonus tracks over the years. Instead, they're using the Kansas City show which was recorded a day earlier as a backup (and was later broadcast partially).
Oh well, one more bootleg I have to remove from my site because it's getting an official release!

While they ARE spooked here (hunters), there are a TON! When I say 25 in my driveway? That is a low count. Drives my dogs crazy which, in turn, drive ME crazy! "Yeah, thanks, little yippers" didn't notice." Nice when they come and come to drink out of my pool as I can stand in my own dining room and get great shots. To post them, I'd have to FIND them, heh, but I could always take another any given day. Especially now in fall.

They coyotes do not. They make larger circles and, by the time I can get a camera out and zoom in on one? They bolt. All around here, though. So much so that I have to watch the little dogs at dusk lest I lose a rat terrier! Hell, Jake, the beagle mix is even at risk should they gang up on him! Even heard tales of the spotted hawks that fill my trees taking off with smaller dogs. Doubt that they could lift the smallest I have but we area a migratratory point for the bald eagle along the Mississippi too. THOSE are big suckers and too cool to see flying around in the wild. There is a sanctuary for wounded ones close to here and I love to visit when time permits. Earthquake formed the lake (Reelfoot Lake) that draws them near. Look up that lake sometime. KEWL! Shaker that got the Mississippi to flow backwards for weeks in the 1800s!
I'll try (as I always do) for the coyotes (or "cowts" as they pretty much pronounce it around here) but, while they are everywhere, time of day and the way they travel make catching a pic REALLY hard! Had one sneak up on me while I was burning scrub from my yard and didn't smell me as I was more in the line of the smoke. DAMN close but, of course, spooked him when I tried to grab a camera. Howeled all the way as he ran. KEWL experience, still....
Want a bunch of deer? Just let me know. Got tons. Come up from the field at dawn and down in the evening and sometimes in the middle of the day. Never tire of taking shots of those. Rarely males as you can hunt her as I am in the country. Whitetails and spotted babies.
