Thank you SO much, Spa! Glad to know it is special to you!!! We just posted our latest completed song. It is called "I Rise". I wrote it as a sort of self-proclaimed, rising above adversity type theme. Defeating the odds and rising above it all. Anyway, here is the link for it!! And thanks again for the support and kind words!!!!
As a HUGE Mad Max fan myself! I must say that video go's really well with the the theme of being alone. Loved it Freeze!
Also, one of my favorite originals! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you, my friend. I am actually feeling a bit better right now. Ate white rice as my first meal of the day! Good sign, eh? About half an hour ago and I haven't gone running off to the waste basket! I take it as a good sign. No H1N1 rather a stomach flu.
We'll see what tomorrow brings, though.

I'm not even sure the banks are shutting down for this one, but I assure you every politician in the US is off tomorrow.
Have you been doing top secret work for the Govennator!? LOL
It is a national holiday but not many get it off. I'm more like Bob Crachett for holidays only 5 days more fortunate. LOL and up until this year when I climbed the payrole person's but over ripping me off, I was only getting paid 7.5 hours for holiday and vacation days, and I finally showed her she owed me over 16 hours of vacation and holiday pay that she had never paid me, because I work 8 hours, not 7.5 like all the other spoiled children who work there. I somewhat hate my job, but it is a job, and therefore I'm greatful as can be. LOL

Hey Metalheads...I had a great time at the game yesterday!! There were 6 of us that went, and other than the driving of the driver, it was an awesome experience!! Never having been to college, visiting a campus like Notre Dame's made me feel like I really missed out on something. I don't regret joining the Marines, and I know I wouldn't have attended a school such as ND, but the chance to live on-campus and have 4 years of "education" seems to be the way to go...that buffer between being a teenager and adulthood...WOW!!!
Anyway...talk about old-school, even with the great seats (50 yard line, row 48) we had bench seating (ouch!!), but we had perfect sight lines for everything and it was well worth it. ND Marching Band and the Navy Band were both loud, no need to have pre-recorded music pumping throughout the stadium. All the colors and smells (nothing like the smell of stadium food!!) and energy were off the charts!! No alcohol served at the game, but the parking lot was a different story.
On a side note, those of you familiar with ESPN's Mike and Mike show will recognize the name Mike Golic, he was there a couple of seats down cheering his sons on as they play for ND...and more locally, those Bears fans out there who remember Chris Zorich, one of the ppl in my party knows him and I got the chance to meet him as well as partake in the tailgaiting festivities (AWESOME!!!).
I don't know if I'll get another chance to experience such a thing again, but a thanks to my brother Randy, I have an incredible memory (and pics on my phone!!) of a great experience!!
Freeze, Guido and HRMG...you all were right!!!!!

HEEELLLLLLLRRRRIIIIDDDDDEEEEERRRRRRRR, KEEP THE FISTS PUMPIN' BRO!!!
Well, it's been another interesting week, among other things...a worker strike at a plant in India has caused Ford to shut down yesterday in Chicago and for all of next week...arrrrrrggghhhh!!!! Just when things are starting to roll, ya know?! Ford DID post a profit again for the second straight quarter!!
On a lighter side, one of my brothers is taking me to South Bend to see Notre Dame host Navy today...50 yard line and about a 3rd of the way up on the Notre Dame side of the stadium. Never been to a college football game before, but I think I'm gonna enjoy seeing the campus, Touchdown Jesus, and to experience the general atmosphere of it all!!!

Sounds like fun. I don't know that VT qualifies for top ten especially not this year, but it is only 45 minutes away. Closest I'll ever get to that kind of stuff. LOL [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Saturday, November 07, 2009 3:58:26 PM)

'90?! I think I was there! Why didn't you come over to say "hello?" HAAAAA!!!!!! I believe '90 was a rainy day (could be wrong, I went to a BUNCH of them).
A guy had climbed a lightpole to the cheers of others who were encouraging him to pull off that dome that was on the tops. Of couse, at the same time, they were shaking the hell out of the pole on him. Well, he got it off, got the shock of his life and was thrown from the people shaking the pole. Died as I understand from friends later. Whatta way to go.
I also remember (barely) a time in '87 when I lived in Brody (Rather). Walked all the way there with a gaggle of friends to a personal invite party. On the walk home (frigid cold, of course) we find some guy face down next to the river. We flip him over and, holy crap, he is one of ours! LOL!!! He was a big bastard too. I remember it well as we carried him all the way from Cedar to Brody! LOL! [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by HOT ROCKIN' METAL GODDESS from Saturday, November 07, 2009 3:32:06 PM)

Yeah, I'm going to hold off on that one till I advance a bit further, it's just a song I really enjoy. And yeah, Simon Phillips is a fantastic drummer. I've been playing stuff of BS and PoE, going to get a second crash cymbal soon so I can play more of those songs and songs off of SFV.

Thanks Becks! I guess I'm off for tonight, ate too much cake today, ate too much dinner, had a few beers when I got home and now, I'm spent! Night!

BTW, if you get the chance to go to see the new "A Christmas Carol" GO!!! Saw it tonight. Wow 3D has come a long way and this movie was pretty damn good! The lighting is just of the period, the effects are awesome! I loved it. You know a movie is good when the audience feels compelled to applaud at the end of it.

Vail - Back in Black, LOL! A song I enjoy very much.
Spa - Yeah I think there's some double kick in it, not a lot though. But there's also some ghost notes from what I can pick up. I'll try playing it one day, but I'll focus on fairly easy songs for now, and will work my way up in my own time.

In a perfect world, he would get exactly what he deserves.

Vail - the drumming is coming along well. Teaching myself AC/DC at the mo, then maybe Hot Rockin. I'm in love with Starbreaker at the moment too, but it's a bit too technical for me right now haha. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by spapad from Friday, November 06, 2009 10:29:36 PM)

Hmmm...well, let's hope for the best for the doggy. Maybe the adults will learn something about dog care in the future.
Yeah, I reckon it's a family thing too - difference is, our dog is a PART of our family, not the 'family dog'. The adults do their bit, from what I occasionally see, but they have strange views on doggy discipline and what not. They use too much negative reinforcement, which doesn't really work.
Vaillant 3.0 wrote:
For the kids? Personally, I think the whole family should be involved in taking care of a dog. If it's just for the kids, then the dog won't stay with them for too long. The less the dog gets to know the adults, the more likely it'll distance itself from them or react in a negative manner if they come too close. Having a pet, especially a dog or cat, is a big responsibility.

Sorry to hear about that, Kiamat. Did you guys bring your own sound equipment? If not, then have a pre-planned setup for the mics. Before your group performs, count the number of "steps" between mic stands or have a rope that is the same length as the space between them. That way when the time comes to adjust them for any specific song, you'll all know where everything goes. That was how we did it when I was in choir in high school.
Oh yeah! And have someone in your group be familiar with the workings of the sound system in case you guys have to use someone else's equipment. Always good to have an expert in those kinds of situations. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by kiamat from Friday, November 06, 2009 3:40:39 PM)

Ouch. That really sucks. I can't imagine getting booed off stage in anything really. I remember being in choir in high school my freshman year and there were times we sucked and we got some polite applause and some indifference early on. We got better as the year went on but we all got an earfull from our music teacher for our "emotionless" performance. But to get booed off stage because of overexpectation? WTF. That is messed up. Hope you have a good rest of the weekend. Just continue to rock hard and ride free!! [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by kiamat from Friday, November 06, 2009 3:40:39 PM)

But can you record a Captain's log with it?
Yep Kirk, we think you're awesome too! More so than Pickhead, anyway. (My parents brought me up on original Star Trek only. All else is false imitation! Though they liked the new film)
Hammacher Shlammer, or however it's spelled has a real once in a lifetime Captain Kirk dream come true on sale this year for just under 3,000.00 dollars! Trekies can have their very own Captian's Chair from the original series! complete with operational buttons and built in sayings! Not that I would want or could afford this chair, but I would love just 10 minutes in it to press all the buttons and bark out commands like Kirk! Scottty...........Shields are down, ............I need more power! But Captain I'm givin her all I got!
"Scotty.............I know you can do it!............Fire Proton Torpedos!...........Shields at full power!!!!
That is the ultimate Trekie dream! LOL

There are some (less than flattering) photos up on my facebook profile if you wanna check them out and one or two scenery shots to show my lovely country off. I still have slightly stiff calf muscles but they're eased enough for me to spin tomorrow. Got a cool race coming up on Sunday so I don't want to overdo anything there. On Saturday we did a 22km mountain hike. I was under the impression that it was a 'mountain walk' Totally different thing all together. Turns out climbing a mountain whilst wearing trainers not good at all!
Never the less, the hike was fantastic although physically I was unprepaired for it. My feet hurt like hell by the time we were done but so worth it. The views were amazingly beautiful and I had such a sense of acomplishment once I crossed the finish line.
I sort of felt like Mark's creation toward the evening HRMG lol.
