Oh I agree. Canada is quite beautiful. Apart from the snow, dare I say ideal??? HA!!!!!!!!!! My mom and dad are both still alive. I have one grandmother still alive as well but in a home and fading fast.
On a lighter note, you guys will be the FIRST to know that in a VERY short time, we will be posting our run at PAINKILLER over on AP!!! Yes, I actually sang that damn song!! Blew out my voice for days!!! HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will post a link when it is ready!!!! |

| Sorry to interrupt - my parents are, well....ma is in her '60's, step dad is older....both are gonna retire to Canada... which i find a little wierd. Mind u - from what i seen is a bloody beautiful place....is on my list (I'd have to visit them obviously) |

That's cool! I knew all my Great grands except one, he was much older than his wife and passed away shortly after my sister was born. I have very vivid memories of all my greats, especially greatgrandma McCoy. She lived in a house all by herself after greatgranpa McCoy died for many years. She never had a indoor toilet a bath yes but no toilet and wouldn't let anyone build one for her! She was Cherokee and had the most beautiful long braided hair. I'll never forget her smile! Her birthday was, essentially, a family reunion each summer. I would do anything short of wet myself to keep from having to go to the outhouse in the corner of the yard! LOL I often begged my uncle Everette to take me down to his house down the road so I could use the bathroom! He had the fancy bathroom, it wasn't attached to the house mind you but it did have all working plumbing! Yes folks, places like that still existed in the 70's!

WOW, that is something!! Both my folks are in their mid to late 60's, so it is possible that they could live long enough for that to happen, that would be truly amazing!! Well, must be off for a bit, I can't seem to find my cell charger. Took it to work with me Friday and I know I brought it home, just don't remember where I put it. Up until I was about 26 or 27, I had TWO sets still alive!!!! Somewhere I have pics of FIVE generations!!! (My daughter, me, my mom, her mom and HER mom!!)

Shoot, I'm stiil walking on clouds from my daughter graduating...this is just a totally different level!! Can't wait to introduce him to the Great grandparents!! I'm the only side of the family with parents still living, so this is truly special. I remember my Great grandparents on my Mom's side but not on Dad's. I don't know how common or rare it is to have Greatgrandparents, but it is something special in our family!!!
