The wind has been a big pain for a bunch of states in the past week. I'm glad it's settling here in VA finally.

HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The wind. On some days it can knock down semis and start massive brush fires. Hopefully you guys don't see any of that. Have you taken any pics?

Palm Springs get blazing hot every summer. And yeah, there ain't much to see in the Inland Empire, except for maybe dry, barren wastelands. The farther out west you go the more interesting stuff you're likely to see. How long will you be out there?

My mom gets pissed anytime we're stopped at a red light, a cop behind us turns on the lights and sirens to get past us and turns them off as soon as he clears the intersection. Right again. As with everything else with this band since Halford returned the bottom line has been how to milk it for as much money as possible. Nobody here needs to know why KK left, it's obvious anyway. One party can't stand the other party. I agree, it's a band. I'm still going to as many shows as I can make it to. However, it is a shitty thing to do to sell tickets to people without telling them that KK has retired. They really shouldn't have booked dates without KK announcing his retirement first. I do think people have a right to be upset about that part of it. As far as KK leaving, it is his right to do so and Judas Priest has every right to continue on as a band. They have my full support - I will buy the new album and I will see them on tour as well. I have no doubt that Rob and Glenn have the ability to write an incredible album together!

I would spend hundreds of dollars to see Priest with or without my favorite guitarist! It was KK's playing that got me into guitar, and I am fully supportive of Judas Priest! Listen to Glenns solo albums, listen to Robs; I am sure they can pull off a album and tour together. Judas Priest is not a single person, it is an entity on its own. Daniela P, I haven't had a lobotomy, but thank you for your concern..... to be quite honest with you, it was up to KK to announce this, not the rest of Priest. The rest of the band was giving him time to change his mind and until he announced it, they weren't going to. If you want to be pissed off at someone, then be pissed off at KK for not telling everyone back in December, if in fact, that is when he made up his mind. For all we know, he wanted to retire and was onboard with the farewell tour and THEN changed his mind. Rob said they knew before Christmas, but does that mean on December 7th when the tour was announced or later in December???? WE DON'T KNOW and most likely will not know unless someone eventually spills the beans. Judas Priest was waiting for KK to announce his leaving the band and they couldn't wait for him any longer. Notice how KK didn't even have anything to say until THE DAY AFTER Priest had no choice but to make the announcement? Having said all that, I would be seriously pissed off if I were you, spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars on plane tickets, hotels and tickets to the shows only to find out much later that KK is not going to be there. Most of the people that you are yelling at are in the States and haven't bought any tickets yet. Those that have for all the shows already announced, I really can't say that I blame you for being pissed.

You don't need to know the reasons for what has happened? They don't matter. The fact is they've announced a farewell tour and then six months later announced that the guy who started the band will not be taking part. Apparently they had known he wasn't happy and were hoping he'd change his mind, he didn't. They should never have announced a tour and started selling tickets until they knew what was happening, it's unethical. It will always be PINE KNOB damn it!!! I only wish you could have seen all the drunk people sliding down the muddy hill! I really hope you know that I was just teasing you - I just couldn't resist it. I never actually saw you with it, just heard the stories. I will miss you being there with us. We had a great time together in Detroit and I will never ever forget it! But, as you said, you will be there in spirit and we will have a toast in your honor as well as a toast to the greatest metal band of all time!

Seriously, I will never get that image out of my mind. He rarely looked into the audience, just down at his feet or over to the side, inbetween yawns that is. And I refuse to go see them headline ever again! I know that no one in Priest would ever do that, no matter how bad things were.

Maybe KK was on board for the tour but then Glenn and Rob wanted to do an album and he just didn't want to and that's when he decided to leave? We may never really know. But I wish KK all the best. I will give Faulkner a chance and I will give the new album a chance as well. Change isn't always a bad thing. I will miss KK dearly though and it will be hard to look at the left side of the stage and not see him there.

Instead of hating and being full of rage, I'm choosing to support the rest of the band who are still here for us, trying to hold us together. It's the least we can do for them. This can't be easy for them, left holding all the broken pieces trying frantically to put things back together again and hope the missing pieces can be hidden by their love for us. And the love for their band and what they have put their lives into for the last 40 odd years.

As hard as it will be to not see him there, you are so right. It would be worse to see him there knowing that he did not want to be there. If there is bad vibes within the band, it will flow over to their performance. I believe in his own way, he is thinking of us by walking away. (lol) But you know what I'm getting at. Rather let him walk away on his terms than go forward with a heavy heart. This can't be easy for KK to have to do. And I don't think it's something he chose. When you feel you cannot go on... You cannot go on.
Yes Joe, I completely agree. Last time Priest "divorced", I took Priests side and was completely pissed off at Rob until he came back to his metal roots in Halford and then I could let it go. Seeing someone in KK's place does not "ruin" the memory of Priest for me like it apparently does for others. Yes, it will be different and it will not be "Priest" for me either. But things change and people move on. I want to be there, hopefully with all my Priest friends in the US and say goodbye. I have my memories of KK that I will cherish forever. Now it's time to make some new memories. Just like in a marriage or relationship, you can't force someone to stay when they are so unhappy. I just wish it wasn't the case, but it is so we have to go on the best way that we can.

I want as many of us as we can get together at one show, standing shoulder to shoulder, banging our heads and screaming until we have no voices left!I want to send them off with a BANG! I want them to know how loved they are and how much they have meant to us. At the end, I have no doubt most of us, if not all of us, will be crying. Too bad Freeze won't be there, he could bring his "man bag" and cram a couple boxes of tissue in it Sorry Freeze, I just HAD to. I do really wish you would change your mind and be there with us. No, it won't be the same, but that shouldn't make you forget all the fantastic memories you have of Priest. I hope you change your mind, we will save you a spot. But then again, maybe you will want to avoid what is most likely going to be a cryfest at the end.
I hope to be right there with you and Bev, Ron, and Guids when we all a say a goodbye. I will be crying! lol I know I will.

Not that it ever is for us fans.
I'll be out there supporting them. They are still MY band, I will miss KK tremendously, and might even cry, but I'll be there showing my love of my ALL TIME FAVORITE BAND.
I love my Metal Gods. It's hard enough to see a split so late, but I want to see them one last time. With tears in my eyes when the show is over.

I want to remember them as they were on that summer's day in Detroit just a couple years ago, when I was only feet from them. Without KK, it will not be the same and, for me, that says it all. I am truly glad that so many of you will go and will say your "good byes", or whatever you wish to call it, in your own ways. That is a good thing. For me, it is over. I will always love the band and I support whatever they do, just as I would any loved one. I still love Judas Priest. That doesn't change.

You know what Spa....your post influence me big time. I take back what I said,I will see Judas Priest live without K.K. if they come to Seattle. Rob and Glenn are the song writters now,even though Ian doesn't write tracks,he will also be an influence for this new album and I'm sure will have "his say" in the matter. I'm not saying that they shouldn't do the tour. I'm saying they should have let us know what we're dealing with (or what THEY are dealing with).
If I go to a restaurant where it says "sirloin steak" on the menu - I won't accept a hot dog as an acceptable substitute and be expected to pay the same as for a steak....
It's all good - K.K wants to quit, the band wants to continue, whatever the heck is going on, that's not the issue. The major problem is how they MARKETED this whole thing. THAT's what's bothering me.
I love Rob, Glenn, Ian, Scott - I'm not saying that they are less worth than K.K. But if I'm paying for a JUDAS PRIEST "farewell tour" - this is NOT it.
Well think about it this way too - they will be contracturally (sp?) obligated to fulfill all these tour dates by the promoters - if they quit and cancelled all the dates, they would get in big trouble and possibly even sued.

All this time I've been played for a fool, tricked into buying tickets for what I thought would be my last chance to see Priest. But that ship has already sailed!
That chance was ON THEIR LAST TOUR, because K.K didn't even have the decency to say goodbye, he just split.
And the rest of them just kept their mouths shut so that it wouldn't affect ticket-sales.
I am so upset and I feel like I've been treated like an idiot, I've bought tickets under false pretenses and when I go to see Priest now, that's how it will feel. It's not right. This dishonesty is sickening and I really HOPE that I have misunderstood the whole situation and that there is some detail somewhere that I have missed.
Because the way it looks NOW - it's nothing but deception and it's sad if this is the way Judas Priest chooses to "leave the building"....
So - can somebody PLEASE tell me that I'm wrong?!

Yeh, been shedding a few tears myself. But Priest beckons on the horizon, and I will be prepared to go see them with my daughter. She's going to love it, and she willl miss KK too, but we want to see them! End of story.
I believe many of us will support Priest until the end. We may sound selfish, but Priest fans seem to be a loyal bunch. As for me, I know I will be there when all is said and done. I actually shed a tear today listening to Rock Hard Ride Free. I felt like a little girl, but hey, this is my favorite band. Without Priest I wouldn't be the musician I am now. I owe them my loyalty, hence their music has given my life much joy. I will be forever grateful for the good and the bad, because at least we still have the world's greatest heavy metal band. but in saying that, I will still give 100% of my support to the other 4/5's of Judas Priest
