The Browns dont need a complete rebuilding .
They showed a lot of improvement this year, even if their record does'nt show it
they just need to add some depth to the roster injuries on defense hurt them the 2nd half of the season
looking forward to next season they're gonna be tough!!
Congrats to the Buckeyes on the Sugar Bowl Win !!!!!
Go Mt. Union !!!

But even if the Spanish win, it wont be such a tragedy - I hear most of them play for Barcelona, which is my favorite Spanish club. Although there are aparently quite a few assholes from Real Madrid, which sort of evens it out.

Lmao... Theres a Wikipedia article on Paul the Octopus!
Interestingly, it shows that he was wrong twice before, both times on Euro 2008, when he predicted that Germany will beat Croatia in the group stage (Croatia won), and when he predicted Germany beating Spain in the finals (Spain won). Hopefully the Spanish will screw him yet again and lose against the Dutch.
In any case, Mani the Parrot (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mani_the_Parakeet) from Singapore says Nedherlands will win. And we all know that octopuses are born liars.

Anyway, Im rooting for the Dutch in the finals, and for the Germans in the 3rd place match. Its really about time that the Dutch win something, seeing as how many times they played in all sorts of finals, and never won any. The Spanish are already European champions, and thats more than enough.
As for today, the Germans really surprised me, and in a very negative way. Considering how both teams played so far, I thought that the Germans will throw in another four goals, but it all has to end somewhere, I guess. | | Becks wrote: | | I really hope he's wrong this time LOL! I think the problem with these penalties and referees stems from the refs not being qualified to ref at this level. It's fucking ridiculous to have these refs from Japan and this clown from Guatamala reffing these big games. All the refs from the second round onwards should be from the big league, Premiership, La Liga, Bundesliga and Serie A. They won't be starstruck by the big name players and are used to being in charge on the big stage. I've seen it on a number of occasions in this cup where the refs are almost sucking up to the players when there's a dispute about a decision. All smiles etc. The refs have to be tougher on the players. Dives should be ignored or carded and player dissent should not be tolerated. Just send a few guys off and it'll stop.
Sepp Blatter and his cronies won't do anything about bringing in replays. He's to busy accepting kickbacks, screwing high end hookers, staying in posh hotels and getting his ass kissed to actually do any work. |

I think that soccer is the hardest game to introduce it, but it could be done. just as keeping time could be done a lot better. but the earth is flat, resulting in a lack of interest.
hell they could have a couple of additional referees assistants that judged from behind the goal, or on the goal line or something. its a bloody large field for three people to control. Why can you take 30+ second out of soccer / football + ANY other major sport while Larry, Moe and Curley argue a call and still not have it affect gameplay? Mute point, I say.
FIFA (among others) should move their asses into the modern world. Not to even have to EXPLAIN an infraction. Too much, man. I see no logic behind it. He argues that it is "part of the game" that it will "slow it down?" Look at hockey! Look at tennis! It did neither! I do not advocate reviewing every single infraction but, come on, those big ones? Im not sure that putting referees from big leagues would work, tho. WTF?!? That is so backassed that it isn't even funny. Call it like you see it, great, but I ask for nothing but a small explanation. Even the umpire who got the call wrong against the baseball player who threw the perfect game apologized. Sincerely, at that. He argues that it is "part of the game" that it will "slow it down?" Look at hockey! Look at tennis! It did neither! I do not advocate reviewing every single infraction but, come on, those big ones? Why can you have two or even three refs discussing the point while keeping the players at a distance so as not to hear their input when all it would take is a "man in the booth?"
Call me stupid. I just don't get it. Sadly, it will probably be as I said: a death to spur some sort of movement there. (Quoting Message by Becks from Saturday, July 03, 2010 2:55:26 PM)

Yeah they really need goal line technology. But I think with Sepp Blatter at the helm it will be difficult to get Fifa to agree on something unfortunately.

Greater question is WTF is up with the officiating?!? Those penalty kicks were just too much. Hey, FIFA...let's get with the times and get a friggin' CAMERA in there! Not for the small offenses but lives are seriously at stake when you miss a big one.

I find it bizarre that the only South American team left in the tournament is, in my opinion, the least deserving - Uruguay. Stupid Uruguay. Netherlands smash them!! LOL!
Good to see Spain won, Spain vs Germany semi final should be a good one. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by guidogodoy from Saturday, July 03, 2010 11:39:23 AM) | | guidogodoy wrote: | | ¡Qué viva Españ!

Oh, we shouldnt be too quick on that. Remember that the Dutch have eliminated Brazil. Personaly, I think that Nedherlands vs. Germany is the most likely final, tho of course the Spanish are strong candidates too.
In any case, Im rooting for the Dutch and the Germans in the semi finals (no matter who the Germans will be playing against). As for tonight, I really cant say. I will watch the game, of course, but I dont think I will be rooting for anyone. Yeah, they have to hold out this pressure, and maybe get something from counter attacks.
Lets not forget yesterday, tho. Both teams that took the lead first. then ended up losing. I hope it wont repeat today.
