Dude, you are a fucking joke. I'm Budred and I've grown up and since I've grown up in life I must listen to other styles of metal blah blah blah fucking blah. Who the fuck cares? OOhhh your so sophisticated now because "you've grown up" and now like shit bands like Slipknot and Mushroomhead and I actually don't have the time to type out all those shitty crappy bands you've seen live and wasted all your money on. Hellrider hates these types of bands too so you are saying that he needs to open up his mind and conform to your shit band way of thinking? Pleae. Trust me,this will be my last post on this: I'm sick of people like you who cram all these bands down your throat and then get thier panties in a wad when somebody says they fucking suck. DEAL WITH IT. You should be able to since you've "grown up" right? Psssff.

Dude, you can criticize anything you want but when you include my name in your post I'm going
to respond. It's the knucklehead in me. I think you think that I've posted more about Slipknot than I actually have.
I only talked about Mushroomhead because I've recently purchased some of their music and recently saw them live.
I'm not going to post in Saxon thread because I'm not here to try to antagonize you. Instead of calling yourself an extreme
real metalhead call yourself an extreme Death Metalhead because I (am) a real metalhead. I appreciate many different
styles of metal not just garbage that goes a thousand miles an hour with a screaming scratchy voiced singer that sounds
like a cat caught in a trap. If my responses to your posts bother you then try not posting with my name in it. I have seen
many of your video posts that I hate but not once did (I) tell (you) how bad it sucked. It's not the "who you hate" thing that
bothers me it's the "telling me what I like sucks" thing that does. Because you (think) it sucks doesn't make it so. (You) are
one mind in a land of millions and (your) mind rules (you) not everyone else.

If this must go on let's do it in web police thread so we can spare the rest of the board from having to read this if they chose not to. [Show/Hide Quoted Message] (Quoting Message by J.D. DIAMOND from Thursday, October 07, 2010 2:12:46 AM)

At least if you are going to bash something, post the studio version of a track Brian....here is Four Crossed Wands from the "Tara" studio album(2001).....this shit is totally awsome for extreme metal,if Budred and Brian and the entire forum utterly thinks this is shear "crap" than I accept that,no problem but to me this kicks the living shit out of crap bands like Mushroomhead and Slipknot.....BY FAR....remember,its just an opinion....

HA!(lmao!) First off, yeah I've seen that live version of Four Crossed Wands and it is an utterly "terrible recording" it wasn't the band that posted this bootleg crappy video(duh).I could post a bootleg shitty live recording of "any band" Budred and call it shit please guy give me a break.I never said "you said" that Mushroomhead were death metal,I said "they" label it as death metal and give me some time and I'll post where I've seen this statement..ect....

You ask me "what is an extreme real metalhead"? You should know why your not worthy for an answer from somebody like myself who has been into this music since 1982..... "please".  I've been reading your Mushroomhead and Slipknot posts ever since you joined here, have I ever said anything before about it? No,so big fucking deal if I lashed out and said they "suck" ......jimmy james hates Saxon,so does Brian...do I give a shit? No,go ahead and post some crappy reviews in the Saxon thread and see if I give a rats fuck. Because your here I can't "criticize" anything? Ha!  Its all good dude,I didn't mean to rock your entire fucking world,I was just saying that I think Mushroomhead and Slipknot "sucks". Fuck those shit bands lol! Mushroomhead better than Saxon? Thanks for the laughs hahaha!

My first reaction was anger, then I watched the video you posted and couldn't help but laugh.
I mean if that's your idea of good music then I understand your hatred of mine. I would like you to show
me where Mushroomhead is labeled Death Metal. I've never seen that nor said that. I don't like 99
percent of everything I just like a wide range of music. I think someone would have to be a fool to close
their mind to everything and try to enjoy music. If all you want to listen too is scratchy voiced singers and
bands playing as fast as they can and then criticize everything else it becomes a joke. It's not even a
serious argument. I'm curious, what is an extreme "real" metalhead? Someone who likes Absu and Saxon.
Please! Mushroomhead destroys these bands! And, you think MRH is commercial?

Bands like Absu, Mushroomhead and slpiknot are just too far out of the box for me ...guess I'll just have to stick with classic metal.
[Brian_Evans] Wednesday, October 06, 2010 1:33:18 PM
No offence  but I just checked out ABSU and their a bit of a crack up ...lol  Check out the quitar palyer on the left at about 1:30 ...lmao

It blows my mind that anyone would even like Slipknot or Mushroomhead, these 2 bands are a fucking "JOKE". They are not "extreme" they are false 'death metal" and are anything but "death metal" they are designed for 7th grade kids getting into junior highschool and are loathed by true extreme "real" metalheads that know what death metal really is HAHAHA!!!  Fuck I hate bands like this, they make me "SICK".  The only thing worse is to see them live! They can keep thier "Mushroomhead" and "Slipknot" and I'll just pump the latest Absu album and listen to some real underground non-commercial extreme occult metal lol!!!  Sorry Budred,99% of these bands you get into I've always hated  but I realize you like just about 99% of everything but I'm glad you like them.

Ok, well it looks like Mushroomhead was the original. I'm gonna step outside the box and check these guys out.

I've made few incorrect posts due to memory issues so I googled it to make sure I was right.
After the fact of course(LOL) but MRH formed in 93' and Slipknot formed in 95' so use your own
judgement if you want to say one copied the other.
(Out of topic obviously, I'm just answering a question.)

                                      Back to Halford now....Anyone?

Mushroomhead came out before Slipknot. Most of the guys in MRH were in other bands at the time of forming MRH.
It was a side project so they wore masks on stage so people would not recognize them from the other bands. MRH
became permanent and because of the crowd response to it, the masks became permanent also. Then came Slipknot so
if anyone copied anyone it would have to be Slipknot copied MRH. Their music is actually a bit different so there is no real need
to compare them that way. If you take the time to listen to their music and get familiar with it and then see them live you
would see that they are quite good. They are heavy as f*ck, they slow it down, some of their stuff is like heavy industrial stuff.
They change it up quite a bit, definitely not one dimensional. Then the theatrics of the live show coupled with the music
make them an enjoyable concert experience.(especially if you like it heavy). Lastly, right now at this moment in time, yes I
may be higher on MRH than I am on Halford but Rob is still the king. Priest and Rob were a part of my life for way too long and
no band will (EVER) replace them as my favorites.

Unless i overlooked they didn't have any Halford cd's at all. No Halford section. I checked Halfords site and they advertise Best Buy as having it. They did have the new Maiden cd Final Frontier and a few other Maiden cd's though. lol Hey is Mushroomhead a rip off of Slipknot or do they have there own style? I just don't see how you could be so high on them and then give Halford's new classic metal cd such a poor rating (although you did change your opinion to be more positive on it). Just curious.

You're probably correct with your assumption but in his defense he (may) be right. I went to Walmart
the day it came out. Don't hate but I was their to order Mushroomhead CD's. I noticed the Halford CD and
they only had two copies. I went back 4 days later and they were both still there. I bought one and the
other was still there yesterday. My point is that I'm thinking that stores aren't expecting it to sell and
therefore are not stocking it fully. If they're only stocking a few of his CD's (maybe) they were soldout.

For the record, as much as I'm starting to love Mushroomhead I only bought them ahead of Halford because
I'm going to Cleveland to see their "Halloween" show and want to be a little more familiar with their music beforehand.
I like Halford more than MRH.

I like your post and agree with most of it. The point that stands out is the Heart of a Lion comparison.
I thought the exact same thing. My problem is that over half of the CD has tracks like that. I do not like
that song and that is why I'm struggling with this album. 100 percent agree with Mower comment.

I don't post much, but here is my take on H4.

First of all I will preface my comments with the fact that I am a Halford/Fight and of course Priest fan through and through - so my comments are not negative, just analytical in nature.

The Mower song itself is worth the whole album - exceptional in everyway.
I like Speed of sound.
Hell Razor sounds like Stained Class/Sad wind era, which is cool - nice work.

Heartless is like a 2010 remake of 1986 Heart of a Lion, but much better - (now I can stop listening to HOAL (which was tough) and replace it with Heartless)

Made on Metal and Matador - I my opinion - are just ok tracks musically.  My belief, challenge me if you want, is that Rob is trying to create an anthem style song to be play at Nascar and Bullfighting arenas.  He is a reasonalby smart marketing guy from a 60 yeear old metal bands point of view.  Think Gary Glitter (pedophile), and other rock anthems at sports events.  The become timeless and of course push the popularity of the creator of the songs, long after the band is even alive.

As far as the lyrics, overall yes they seem a little superficial/simple in nature, I agree.  For what ever reason that would be my most critical comment.

Overall I like the album so far and will listen to it even more now.  I will like this album more over time.  Now I give it a B+ maybe even soon an A- .

But again Mower is worth the album.  I would pay $15.00 for that one song.  And I mean that.  I feel it is that good; even a challenger for Painkiller!

Thoughts?

Tasnam
