Now where were you when I placed my order?! lol NO, I don't think I am getting anything extra (not even the little poster a la Nupe) but it best not be damaged. Scheduled to come tomorrow and, as stated, I have avoided listening to / reading anything about the new release until I have a chance to form my own opinion. To do so, all I need is the freakin' CD!!!! Hell, I had a handful of the deluxe editions when I stopped by Best Buy!!! AAAAAARGH!!!! Tortura, pura tortura. Didn't know I was going to Spain / be close to a Best Buy when I placed my order months ago.

Unless your getting something extra's that's not available with the in-store sale I wouldn't pre-order a cd. They usually don't mail until release day so you're guaranteed to get it a couple days later than everyone else plus you pay shipping. I'm sure you're getting something else with the disc and I'm not criticizing you it's just something I quit doing. I can't wait sometimes and in this case it's got to be driving you crazy.

THE FLIPPIN' PRE-ORDER!!!! Thanks, Amazon. The damn thing best be on my doorstep tomorrow morning or I am taking names, kicking ass and chewing bubble gum.

...and I am all out of gum!

Oh well, it's pretty much dead here anyway so why not? Alot of people have stopped coming here since I started. Coincidence?  Maybe I'll go away for awhile so JD doesn't have to be so bent. (lol)

Reading other idiots shit comments doesnt hamper making up my own mind about what and what not to like from these 2 and a quarter songs released for us to hear so far.....it just pisses me off, thats all.

When this new album cover kicked in,along with the title track ( this Redeemer song sounds like classic Priest Budred, not saying you should like it,but it fuckin doesnt sound like a Rob solo effort, that is something your ears hear ) it reminded me of 30 years ago when Defenders was released....it gave me that "feeling" again....untill I started reading all these negative comments ....including yours Budred.

Now,I definately agree with HRMG when she said she got so pissed she just had to stop reading comments alltogether. With this being the last Judas Priest album,Im going to harken back to the old days when there wasnt an internet with comments.

I dont NEED to read comments on any site and nobody NEEDS to hear my comments as well. And I dont need to read comments on here either.
Fuck it all!! Im dropping out off the internet for the summer....Im taking this summer to enjoy the Redeemer of Souls album, and after this post I wont have a look to see if anyone responded, wont have a look at any fuckin bodys comments on any other site as well.Maybe around October,November I may have a look then.

Take care all the "true Priest fans". I'll catch up with you winter time, untill then...Head Banger,HRMG,Becks,Guido ect....hope the album turns out awsome for you guys. Bye.

J.D.. That's what I did. Except for reading what people post here I quit going to facebook or anywhere else to see what people are saying. I'll make up my own mind and it won't be based on what someone else thinks. That's why I commented to you a couple of times about not worrying about people ripping them for the first track released. I didn't know people were bashing the other two because I wasn't reading and not that I care but if people really are bashing the other two I doubt that they are longtime fans. I would guess younger fans hoping for a more modern style of music because it sounds like we may get a decent effort out of them based on what I'm hearing and what I think most people expect out of them. Don't stay away this site is already too dead. What is there, like six people that post here now? I never interact on their facebook page because I like this better but it seems like Facebook may be the only way to interact at all if you or any of the remaining few stop posting.

[J.D. DIAMOND] Monday, June 02, 2014 5:27:08 AM
HRMG, I agree with you about how you just had to stop reading those negative comments. From what I've heard so far of Halls Of Valhalla sounds like its gonna be a killer song, not sure how they can dog it before they even hear the track.

You know, the album comes out in 6 weeks. I'm done reading all comments about this album so far. For me at this point,I'm gonna purposely not have anymore looks at comments on youtube, facebook, blabbermouth and even here too....

Everybody is different, beings this could be the last album, Im gonna enjoy, and indulge into this mindset of Redeemer Of Souls for the summer.
I will eventually read comments later this year, perhaps winter time ect...untill then hope everyone who is as much of a true Judas Priest fan as I am enjoys the album.

[Budred] Monday, June 02, 2014 2:30:16 AM

I can only speak for myself and no one has accused me of it but when I've been listening I haven't tried to compare the new tracks to any other Priest. I don't want any other Priest just the heaviness I've come to expect. Not every track has to be that way and I know I've never liked every track on a Priest album so I'm not expecting to now. No one asked but I'll mention that my criticism of the first track is that it's just a steady monotonous beat and I really don't like the vocal style. I know Rob isn't going to scream like he did in his youth but the style on that song becomes irritating to me rather quickly. It reminds me of stuff like "Prisoner of Your Love" or "Red White and Blue" or stuff off Rob's last Halford cd. The other two tracks have tempo changes and better lyrical style and it keeps the songs from getting boring as you listen. To me the other two tracks are a continuation of a long time trend of releasing new music that sounds different from the previous effort but retains that overall Priest sound. I think this stopped with Demolition. That's why I say 15 years and I may finally get what I wanted. It would be a fantastic last hurrah. Let's see.

[J.D. DIAMOND] Monday, June 02, 2014 12:33:48 AM
You know Redeemer of souls, this song isnt my favorite and isnt the bands best song, but Priest must have over 175 songs by now or so,the comments left on facebook (I dont have a face book account either) and on you tube, and especially on blabbermouth ....they make it seem like this song should be ranked last out of the bands entire discography!

Its just a song, its decent and its unmistakably Judas Priest man. It doesnt bother me that they dont like this song(budred) but they are completely trashing it. As if this song is worse (song writting wise) than Parental Guidance,or "Lost And Found" from the odd experimental Demolition album ect....

March Of The Damned to me IS as good a song to match up with some Priest classics .....yet still it gets trashed and smashed.

Even 9 years ago Revolution didnt get this harsh of a treatment March Of The Damned is getting.

Whatever. Nothing they seem to do is good enough for these fucks.

13 songs on the album,I probly wont like all of yhem, but hoping to like 10 of 13.

Fuck em. Im gonna enjoy this album, and lucky for me I wont be skipping track #2 or track# 5.

Agreed HRMG. It's one thing to simply not care for a song, or to have constructive criticism of it, but some people are just being negative for the sake of it almost? Also agree with the apples and oranges comments - people aren't judging these songs on their own, they're constantly comparing them to other Priest tracks, which is absurd IMO.

There were so many negative, stupid comments on Facebook that I had to stop reading them. People that claim to be Priest fans saying that the songs released so far are not Classic Priest.  They wouldn't know what Classic Priest was if it bit them in the balls!! They are complaining that the songs aren't heavy enough, the lyrics are bad, Rob doesn't scream, it's weak and simple, blah, blah, blah. I admit that I wasn't thrilled with Redeemer, but the other two are AWESOME as far as I'm concerned!  I agree with JD, what are these people that call themselves fans comparing these songs to anyway? To me they sound like what they promised us: CLASSIC PRIEST!!

Once again,I agree with you. Those songs you've listed are classic Judas Priest and I agree with you about them having power, but when the album is released it's not gonna be fucking good enough for all these "people" who are bitching about what they've heard already and no Im not talking about Budred here. They will bitch that it lacks power and other meaningless crap like how Glenn shouldn't of produced the album and blah blah crapholla.

I agree with what you have posted 100%. Its a shame so many "fans" cant remember not only how they used to produce power in thier songs, but with everyone "over analyzing thier new songs like its a fuckin NASSA project they have seemed to have forgotten "THE SPIRIT OF JUDAS PRIEST"!!!

[acolyte55] Sunday, June 01, 2014 2:19:55 AM

yeah JD and Budred, people are not remembering the power these guys used to produce , this is an apple and oranges project , with nothing really in the catalog to compare it to UNTIL we here the whole album,!!!!! island of domination! exciter ! raw deal! the rage! free wheel burning power power power , i think they defined the genre of power metal

[J.D. DIAMOND] Saturday, May 31, 2014 5:06:41 AM
You seemed to have totally missed my point budred. Personally I "like" Bloodstone better than Redeemer Of Souls (although I like Redeemer very much).....Bloodstone in my opinion is a better track ....but thats not what I'm talking about,I have a good sound system and Redeemer is heavier and has more "power" than Bloodstone does,Scott over Holland, guitar riff- driven ect...

I don't care for Revolution or Lochness but I don't think they are weak lacking power.
To me,those who think the title track and March Of The Damned lack power are simply comparing it to Painkiller. Thats really the only way that they could possibly lack power.....

Its just an observation that puzzles me,and bugs the fuck out of me at the same time.

I keep reading how people are such Priest fans,ect...and how they wish these two tracks are stronger ect...stronger than what?
[Budred] Saturday, May 31, 2014 3:29:44 AM

I think "Bloodstone" blows away "Redeemer of Souls". That's one of my favorite Priest tracks. J.D., you seem to be pretty angry that people don't like "Redeemer...". I haven't gone to facebook to read what anyone is saying but here it seems like more praise than not especially on the latter two tracks. There isn't anything wrong with saying Priest released a weak track if they did. When I heard it I was thinking I didn't even want to hear anymore but after the other two I can't wait. The second two songs are more Priest like and now I'm pretty stoked for it to come out. I'm thinking they are finally after 15 years going to release something that harkens back to the Priest I used to know. I really can't wait for this!
