Yikes! Sucks being short, doesn't it? I'll survive somehow. Maybe if I just get in line extra extra early so that I can lock myself to the barricade in the front. So here's a mini review of Metallica finally, after a busy few days lol! They opened with two tracks from Death Magnetic, which were pretty good, but for me the highlight was For Whom the Bell Tolls. Other oldies they played included Seek and Destroy, One, And Justice for All, Master of Puppets. The special effects they had were excellent - my friend and I were a fair way back in the seated area (with a good view) and could feel the heat coming off the flames they had occasionally. There was heaps of lasers and other nifty stuff, and coffin shaped lighting rigs that moved around. Plenty of idiots at the gig too, and plenty of people who were there just cos it was Metallica. Reason I could tell this with one dude is as follows - as anyone who has been a 'proper' fan of Metallica would know, the Bay Area thing pops up often. One of the t-shirts at the merch cart had Bay Area on it. A young dude (maybe 17?) was standing next to me and said 'Ba area??? What's that? I don't think it's Bat Area??' then someone finally explained to him it was Bay Area. Hmmm, lol. Anyways, the gig was great, the best bits involved the oldies, but overall it was worth the money and I am glad I went. Seen as Craig missed out I bought him a tour shirt and posted it to him

Oh man that is a terrible chain of events! Computer problems are always a pain in the behind, I am still trying to save up for a new laptop after unsuccesfully trying to fix my old one for over a year. I think its been an age since I've been on here, well at least 2 and a half weeks- the time its taken for the shop to fix my computer. Its been a bit stressful (not to mention expensive) especially as during that time I had my bag stolen- phone, wallet, mp3 player, drivers licence... I've been pretty much marooned at university with no way of contacting anyone!
Still, things are getting better (except I've lost my voice- throat infection.)

I have to get there at least 15 - 20 minutes early to get some paperwork done since I am a new patient with this doctor (just like this morning for the checkup) and then have to get a little procedure done. Plus I have to take antibiotics for a week but that's not too bad so far.

badass live. The second time it sounded like his mike was too loud for a few songs but after that
they rocked. The guitar player is the shit and you'll love his solo. Also, the stage show is very
theatrical. Lots of fire, explosions, video monitors, and assorted creatures walking out on stage.

Oh yeah I saw the highlights for that game. That was a beautiful trick play at the end. I am surprised one of my neighbors, who is a Notre Dame grad from 1956, didn't have a heart attack watching that game. Honestly we almost had a heart attack from Iowa's comeback in the 4th quarter but our QB just shrugs off the interception and leads us 70 yards for the soon to be game winning TD. Then we sack the crap out of Stanzi on their comeback drive and it was all over.

Thank you, one and all! Its always so nice to see I have such wonderful friends here on this Board. Reminds me of days long passed. I do check occasionally but really just have not felt the desire to post. I appreciate all the PMs from you guys. Good friends all...
As mentioned, I am just very busy with the band and caring for the Princess and myself. The band thing really gobbles up my free time. We play a lot and practice constantly. Add to that the time it takes to work on new music and you can clearly see that there is VERY little time left to chat! We did manage to take a short vacation in August to the beach (I believe I posted a pic or two?) but, other than that, we are just SO busy. The Princess' youngest has moved out and we are ONCE AGAIN enjoying the bliss of a "child-free" home. For THAT, I am truly grateful! HAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
I think the Princess is going out of town this coming weekend. Her and her sisters are going to the condo down in San Diego for an "All Girl" trip. Read into that what you will... HA!!!!!!! I have a show on Friday so I will be laying VERY low during her absence. Kind of looking forward to it, really. Just me and the cats... Well, you are all up to date, as it were. My love to you. My continued distain to the other...

So, read the earlier work before the prequel, huh? It does make sense now that I think about it. An author would most likely only do a prequel if one of his books becomes a hit among his readers and pieces missing in it need to be filled or things need to be explained. Plus, it wouldn't make sense to do a prequel if it doesn't have an established base to begin with.
