Serious Iron Maidne discussion for Serious Iron Maiden Fans

Post Message

So discuss. As it stands, I have seen none of it. You are just trying to jam things down our collective throat without care nor caution. I, for one, have tried to get you to actually SAY something but you just spew nonsense about how every Maiden song is good. BLEAH! Now you even go back on your "Blaze" post?!? HE was good fronting Maiden?!?

Have fun talking to yourself.

Finally some common sense in here from Budred. I'm sure it won't make any difference though because certianpeople in here are just too stubborn and hard headed. This thread wasn't created to recommend Iron Maiden albums to go out and buy, jeez!!! this is not amazon.com! lol! Now like I said before just stay out of here if you don't like the thread and all is well. If you want to contribute some serious Maiden discussion then fine, i'd love to hear it.

If you claim to like "EVERYTHING OR ANYTHING" a band does arrogantly then you are a fanboy, plain and simple because a fanboy will like anything that artist does without question, theres nothing wrong with liking everything by an artist but you can't truthfully guide somebody to that band through that kind of an opinion because 95% of people out there of all genres of music are not like this and will not get an honest representation of that band's material of music.

If someboy asks about what albums to get by Iron Maiden they will make thier own opinions of course but its human instinct to guide them towards thier better material based on a populous observation of long time Maiden fans. Not to many people are like Brian Evans who will say they would like the new Iron Maiden if Iron Maiden turned to rap music, and Brian would definately like it because the logo says Iron Maiden and Bruce is singing...now he changes his mind and says all Maiden is excellent...how about telling somebody to buy the "X Factor" album?  99% of heavy metal fans and Maiden fans for that matter HATE that album with a passion.

but Brian is the one who was "butt-hurt" over being called a "fanboy" and then all he did is bring "Saxon" into the equation for what who knows, but all we are all saying is that he is a fanboy and he is pissed off about it.If a new Iron Maiden fan that had opinions about certain songs by Iron Maiden asked Brian to give him some ideas of what albums are the band's best,Brian would just say buy them all...and once that fan started downloading or youtubing all the Maiden material 9 times out of 10 he isn't going to like all that shit and he is going to call Brian a "fanboy". Understand now?

You can't have your cake and eat it too Budred, either Brian can settle being a fanboy or he can be an Iron Maiden fan who can recommend albums and songs by critisism to other new Iron Maiden fans,he can't have them both, its not valid and he doesn't understand this because he is simply not smart enough.

I'll address that one. What you are "missing" is history here. "Brian Evans" isn't a new member. The name is familiar to all of the older members be it the same person or not. You saw my posts saying that I think it is NOT the same person. He cannot prove that he is and we react. Just that simple. I understand your point-of-view if you think he is a new member that is being dealt with harshly but that is not the case.

Sure, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I do not think that a single person has said otherwise. I do take issue with those that contaminate the site with garbage just to provoke a reaction. This isn't the Maiden website but, as Spa posted, we do and did have this discussion many a time over. To have it brought back by a "poser" (putting it nicely) is just goofy. Personally, I'd like to "discuss" Maiden but this isn't a discussion...it is someone posting songs without care or reason. Nonsense, IMO.

You guys are pummeling this guy. I read all the back and forths and I'm not  understanding the criticism.
Maybe I missed something but what has he done?
I get the fanboy thing but why does that bother anyone. If he thinks all Maiden is great and others think not,
isn't that just a matter of opinion?
The only negative I can throw at Brian is he's trying to promote Maiden on a Priest site.
If that bothers some, I can understand that, but to relentlessly pummel him because he loves
them seems like a little much. I read comments asking him not to be antagonistic but that's all he's
getting from all angles. It happened to me on here and it was a little overwhelming.
The thing is, I deserved it, I'm not sure he does. I know I'm going to get ripped for this, but before you do
provide a little insight as to why this is happening.
I can be convinced I'm wrong, I'm wondering if others have the same ability.

We're all metal fans at heart. Can't we all just get along?(LOL)
