Hopefully by monday she will up for getting out of the house and back to her friends! I remember those early years. I was calling in at work alot due to illness with my child, but you can't ignore what a child needs. We didn't have insurance back then so it was really tuff when she got sick.

so I'll just have to tough it out...but I'm not whining about it,I'm glad to be working....its gravy anyways!!

Its different for people that live in lets say..."Las Vegas" where Deep Freeze lives.........down there it may be 110 degrees
but its a dry heat and not as much humidity as there is in Seattle......so when it hits over 100....its a fuckin bitch!!!
And it was tonight!! Oh man!!! At least I nutted up and went in.......my paycheck will not be short!!! lol!

Over there,I am not at a machine,I'm loading parts onto a huge cast steel wheel and a bedroom wall sized steel door and shut the wheel inside the machine..
and I operate the RPMs on a control panel but look at paper work to see how high the RPMs I need to hit to achieve the designated intensities.
I can't wait until I get back to Shot Peen...thats where I've been for the last 13 years untill last September when things got really slow and then I was
put back into sand blast but at least I didn't get laid off!! They told me they will put me back into Shot Peen when the work comes in no problem
so I'll just have to tough it out...but I'm not whining about it,I'm glad to be working....its gravy anyways!!

A wonderful Saturday to you!!!!! Yet again it is HOT here in Vegas. Looking forward to another fine day of baseball and fun! have a dinner obligation this evening but, apart from that, should be relatively quite on the front! Only one week left before the mighty Priest invade Vegas!!! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Getting more excited everyday. AC/DC tix go on sale here at 10 this morning so I might check THAT one out , too. Really depends on what they are charging!!!!

Morning all. ANOTHER hot day here in Vegas. (I say that everyday, don't I?) 112 yesterday and ONLY 109 today! Single digit humidity means HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!! HA!!!!!!!!!
You know, I have been reading all the posts about "get togethers" and potential "get togethers" for this year's tour and it just makes me SO proud to be here! How wonderful this year's tour is turning out, huh??? I do not recall this level of live membership interaction in all my years. WOW!! I have had the pleasure of meeting some more members and seeing old friends. What a thrill! I As I read the posts, I can imagine the faces and the hugs and the laughs and all...It is such a wonderful testament to our Metal "family"....!!!
Something of interest to some; I may have metioned this but, I have an eighteen year old nephew that is a HUGE "No Doubt" fan. Member of the website, etc. Anyway, he is following the band all over the US this year attending over 25 concerts!!!! He worked and saved his money and attended his first year of college and for summer vacation, he is basically travelling with his favorite band!! He has been ON STAGE countless times as Gwen Stephani now recognizes him instantly and pulls him up with her. He has stayed in a couple of the same hotels, met the band often and even been asked to run a couple errands by the band's management!! HAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some of the pictures he has are just amazing.
I guess it is just interesting to me how we do things as fans that some might call "obsessive" and yet, we do not think twice about it. There is always someone that does something more..takes it to another level. And all in the name of the band they love so much. We are not alone, gang. But we sure are special!!!

While everyone is saying their good mornings, I'll say my good evenings lol.
I hope everyone is having as splendid a day as I am. Went out on the bike today and did 45km. I looked around me and realized how blessed I am to be alive and living in a place that I really do love. Cape Town was nice and sunny today so that just sweetened the deal. Kids are happy and healthy and that is what matters most.
I'm thinking of spending the night cuddling on the sofa and watching a good movie or tucking into a book. It just seems like the perfect idea lol.

A special "thank you" for all the warm wishes over on the Project Thread. Truly appreciated and very kind. It was a GREAT ride and we had SO much fun. I spent nearly an HOUR yesterday backreading from page ONE!!! Man, it was SO cool to re-live those days and see all the excitement and anticipation. I will never forget it. However, we all know that time marches on and change is the one constant. I see Phil and Rick are busy bees with their new endeavor. That is cool!
