Im really not sure what to think of that "Hand of prick" we saw yesterday... I guess what hurts most is that Ghana was the better team, no doubt about it. On the other hand, I dont doubt that Suarez simply accepted the consequences of that action, and went for it, simply because Uruguay had nothing to lose and everything to gain. He sacrificed himself for his team, and willingly gave up playing in the next round. Not many players would do something like that... I just wish he wasnt such an asshole about it.
IDK, Ive never seen anything like it. This was definately a game to remember.
But I still hope that the Dutch eat Uruguay in the semis. |

Well, they are great players, and very good in 1 on 1 challenges... But, IDK, they look a bit undisciplined. A lot of missed passes and misunderstanings among players, I think.
Still, Im rooting for them, and I hope they go on. Uruguay doesnt deserve to play in an amateur league with this kind of playing.

Yeah, me too. Tho honestly, both Japan and Paraguay didnt show much, and I think that it was one of the most boring matches on this cup. Still, it would be nice if Asia would have their representatives in the quarter finals. Holland and Brazil dominant last night. I don't think Holland can win it but you never know, it only takes one goal. Sounds like a dumb thing to say when they've got guys like Kuyt, Robben, Sneider and Van Persie out there but I think in the past they've had better sides than they do now and not been able to crack it and it'll be the same this time. I only saw the first half of Brazil/Chile but from what I saw Brazil handled Chiles good start well and then capitalised clinically when their chances came. Definately a final contender ( as always ).
Looking forward to tonights Spain/Portugal match. Hopefully Torres can get out of this slump he's in and get a few goals.

Yeah it was a brilliant game between the Germans and England, we will definitely be getting up to watch the quarter final between the Argies and Germany. Germnay is my favourite, and like you said, if both teams play to their full potential, it'll be a fantastic game.

Personaly, I have high hopes for Mesut Özil. That run and assistance for the fourth goal were legendary. Yeah, and after they actualy stoped the game to debate the matter. I guess its really time to get replays for the referees. Yeah, sure, it wont solve all bad calls, but this one would have been.
Of course, that wasnt the end of it. I think that the referee pissed his pants later, and compensated Mexico by allowing them rough play - that faul at the end of the first half was a red card if ever I saw one - but by then the game was already ruined. Mexico was a better opponent at the start, and who knows how it would have gone if the ref simply made the right calls.
