Yuck, sounds awful! And it sucks your employer doesn't care about the workers! I know what you mean about humidity though, that's the sort of heat we get here, it really saps the energy out of you much worse than dry heat! LOL I've actually been to Las Vegas, funnily enough, when I was about 8 or 9. I remember walking down the strip with my parents and sister at night and it was very hot, but like you say, a dry heat.

Well I'm back home for the night and to tell ya the truth Becks...I don't think I have the balls to tell you any different because I think I sweated them off tonight at work!!! lol!

Well....at my company they simply "do not care" about thier employees or thier employees concerns about "anything" let alone the scorching heat!  

When i walked in the shop tonight at 4:15pm it was 104 degrees!!!  In my area where I work the temp. said 109 degrees!!!  I was drinking water

and sweating it out as fast as I drank it!! And I didn't check to see how much humidity we had...I know it was up there.........

Its different for people that live in lets say..."Las Vegas" where Deep Freeze lives.........down there it may be 110 degrees 

but its a dry heat and not as much humidity as there is in Seattle......so when it hits over 100....its a fuckin bitch!!! 

And it was tonight!! Oh man!!!  At least I nutted up and went in.......my paycheck will not be short!!! lol!

Blegh, in that case a winter day is definitely called for where you are! LOL! That's way too hot to work in I reckon, lol. Are there not rules against working in such heat? I think here that if the temperature goes over 35degreesC then workers are meant to be sent home or something like that, cos it's too hot to work safely.

Morning all. ANOTHER hot day here in Vegas. (I say that everyday, don't I?)  112 yesterday and ONLY 109 today! Single digit humidity means HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!  HA!!!!!!!!!

You know, I have been reading all the posts about "get togethers" and potential "get togethers" for this year's tour and it just makes me SO proud to be here! How wonderful this year's tour is turning out, huh??? I do not recall this level of live membership interaction in all my years. WOW!!  I have had the pleasure of meeting some more members and seeing old friends. What a thrill! I  As I read the posts, I can imagine the faces and the hugs and the laughs and all...It is such a wonderful testament to our Metal "family"....!!!

Something of interest to some; I may have metioned this but, I have an eighteen year old nephew that is a HUGE "No Doubt" fan. Member of the website, etc. Anyway, he is following the band all over the US this year attending over 25 concerts!!!! He worked and saved his money and attended his first year of college and for summer vacation, he is basically travelling with his favorite band!!  He has been ON STAGE countless times as Gwen Stephani now recognizes him instantly and pulls him up with her. He has stayed in a couple of the same hotels, met the band often and even been asked to run a couple errands by the band's management!! HAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Some of the pictures he has are just amazing.

I guess it is just interesting to me how we do things as fans that some might call "obsessive" and yet, we do not think twice about it. There is always someone that does something more..takes it to another level. And all in the name of the band they love so much.  We are not alone, gang. But we sure are special!!!

Ahhhhh.......Great to relax for lunch in front of the work computer. How is everyone today? I have been busy but good, just working my way till next week till I get to see the Priest live up in Phoenix!! All I do other wise is just hang out at home and be on my Xbox 360 or listening to new CDs or helping my dad around the house. I really need to hear how everyone has been because I have not been on regularly for quite some time because of  me moving out of my apartment.

I hope everyone is having as splendid a day as I am. Went out on the bike today and did 45km. I looked around me and realized how blessed I am to be alive and living in a place that I really do love. Cape Town was nice and sunny today so that just sweetened the deal. Kids are happy and healthy and that is what matters most.

I'm thinking of spending the night cuddling on the sofa and watching a good movie or tucking into a book. It just seems like the perfect idea lol.

Morning Maniacs!!! Another HOT day in the desert! All quiet here and THAT is a good thing. It would seem to me that I need to start coming back on late in the afternoon if I want to catch any of you. Damn "job havers".... HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A special "thank you" for all the warm wishes over on the Project Thread. Truly appreciated and very kind. It was a GREAT ride and we had SO much fun. I spent nearly an HOUR yesterday backreading from page ONE!!! Man, it was SO cool to re-live those days and see all the excitement and anticipation. I will never forget it. However, we all know that time marches on and change is the one constant. I see Phil and Rick are busy bees with their new endeavor. That is cool!

Well, I'm going through the post tour de france blues lol (just kidding) I get hooked on this race for three weeks out of the year every year and now it's all over !
This year was fantastic to see Lance back in the saddle. Can't wait to see what he  has up his sleave for next year. Apparantly he and Johan Bruyneel are starting their own team so that should be fun. But can I wait a whole fecking year??? Lol.

Well, that's about all.. time for bed already it's 11pm here in Africa and I gotta get up early if I want to cycle tomorrow.

Last year, Halford reached down from stage and shook Mark's hand.... I punched my hubby in the arm about 3 times and called him much worse names! Well, I'm off to go visit my mom. She is doing really well after her large stroke in June. They are having a picnic at the rehab/nursing home today and she is eating well enough and doing well enough that she can go this time. Thank God the doctors were WRONG!!

My camera was new, and I almost knew nothing about it! I wish I'd paid the extra 30 or so for a Cannon as I know just how to use one of those as it is all I've owned in 20 years now. I had a bugger of a time with this new happy snap! And then at the end of the night I forgot I had tucked the camera in the small of by back and when I got to the hotel I went to the bathroom and unbuttoned my jeans and heard a big Kerplunk! Turned around and fished it straight out! Dried it off. Memory card survived and after I was ready to box it back up and take it back to WalMart and tell them it was broke when I got it, I tried it one last time and it fired right up! So, since it's a tough little camera I'll keep it and just learn how to use it! LOL

Yeah, all of them only hand them out on their own sides. Ian and Glenn start handing them out from the edge of their side and work toward the middle and KK just sort of throws them out on his side. So make sure you scream Glenn's name and get his attention! He's been known to have security hand the pick to someone in the crowd to make sure they get it! Glenn is such a GREAT guy! I couldn't stop looking at his red leathers.....

The pick  subject is sore with me this year! I'll get over it! But amoungt true priest fans there is no honor when it comes to fighting for something you want, and I flat out lost to a speedier opponent! I totally AGREE, no words for how good it was. You can have any of the pictures we took. Mark and I split camera duty and anytime they came up to us, we just fired away. We are also in the process up uploading the videos we took of the show - Freewheel Burning, Victim of Changes and Rapid Fire to YouTube. God I LOVE this little camera. Videos aren't the greatest quality since it was taken with a camera, but it brings back all the memories! They were just AMAZING!! Vail, you are gonna have a BLAST!!
