Becks!! How's the drumming going??? I gotta tell you.. last week I had an unfortunate accident with my snare.. I kinda somehow put a stick through it.. I was playing so well and got right into the groove when.. splat.. well it was not a nice sound and the stick just didn't stop going down lol.
I only got a new head on thursday but man.. not cool. I guess it was worn and bound to happen but that's a lesson on why you should always keep a spare set of heads. The new one sounds pretty cool though.. very bright and tuned well. I'm pretty pleased because it's the first time I've replaced and tuned a head totally by myself. I felt this sense of acomplishment and then spent the night forcing my husband to listen to the kit to tell me if all the other drums were in tune lol. I think he was a bit deaf by the end of the night.
I'm at least up and running again.. was horrible just looking at an empty shell trying to get the head that I wanted.
I hear what you're saying with the limb coordination but it comes the more you play the more your body sort of just listens to you... le tme know how it's going!!!
