Seriously, if you love Maiden So much go there. Nobody is holding you back.
I think you are, as someone said, a bit of a muckraker. That's a shame, we could all enjoy this thread with you if you would just converse in a way a Priest fan may talk about Maiden, but you seem to think your going to carve out this little slice of Priest for your own glory or for the Glory of the Band you wish to promote. Get a grip fanboy.
That is just so messed up. You must think you rock or something. Ever heard of the word Megalomaniac?

Ok, you want to start playing word games...name a DICKENSON song you don't like!
Really, I've never had a problem with you nor Maiden. I simply state what I think. That said, I say that you are going WAAAY overboard in a bad way. Blaze era...good, you are making "baby steps." Perhaps someday you'll realize that you really are just becoming yet another shitdisturber on the JP site. When I first joined, you railed against those that you now seem to have become. Like many, I could just hit an ignore on the whole thread but, as stated, I was a pure Maiden fan. Same went for Metallica. Sorry, Priest is just the "end-all" for me irrespective of how many times you claim Maiden to be "the kings."
Back to the question, then...name a Bruce song you don't like. PROVE to me that you aren't what others accuse you of...namely, being a blind "fanboy."

I am too a fan of Maiden. Don't get me wrong. But I too do get tired of some points about the band that never change. Sometimes I feel the droning baseline is the same for almost a dozen songs. Just like AC/DC, they have a formula that has not changed forever.
That is what I love and sometimes have cringed at about Priest. They don't stick the the "formula" they will push the boundaries and always have. Yeppers, there are some songs by JP I hit skip on when I'm in the car. But very few. Troubleshooter is still my riegning most unfavorite Priest song. Oh, dear god, what where they thinking? Followed immediately by "Parental Guidance"
That said, have your thread but don't buck the fans of Priest for not loving Maiden as much as you. Remember, you are on the PRIEST website. Edited at: Friday, February 19, 2010 6:37:24 PM

Guido has a valid point Brian. So does Spa.
I think being able to see your favourite band with a bit more of a critical eye is not a bad thing, like Guido, there are some songs from Priest I'd rather skip over when listening to an album. But for me, by and large I love Priests music. And like Guido, I can't say the same for Maiden recently, and I am a Maiden fan. Yeah, I can name a bunch of Priest songs that I do not like. I stated that I love Nostra as a whole and run to it all the time. However, I can (and have) named a bunch of songs I jump over. No question that I DO question some decisions about my favorite band, I DO hate some songs and, likewise, love others to no end. I really wish that I could say the same about Maiden of late.
What do you NOT like in Maiden is still something left unanswered, IMO.

Well Brian, this is all very interesting, but I am curious if you just want to host a Maiden thread on the JP website, why don't you just go to the Maiden website and start your own thread. Saw a post from Joe earlier, and it looks like you get some perks for that 30.00 so perhaps you would be more comfortable there, instead of arguing with Die Hard Priest Fans.

This is how it is Brian, nobody wants to read an opinion of yours about Iron Maiden here because you like "ALL" Iron Maiden with Bruce Dickinson so no matter what the album is ....like the new one coming out possibly at the end of this year or maybe earlier,to you its just "Maiden" and you'll say all the albums are different but all the same quality and even just by saying you like songs better than others but still manage to like every song by Bruce isn't a valid opinion while talking to others even if your entitled to your own opinion yes,but not valid.
So when it comes to opinions about the band nobody really wants an opinion from you because you like it all, they would rather hear an opinion from another Maiden fan and not only me but other Iron Maiden fans because they rate songs ect...they don't like all and everything by Bruce and they can gather a better realistic perception of the album because somebody that likes all songs equally by an artist that has as much material as Bruce with Iron Maiden is not giving them any idea to go by when they ask about a song or an album. But I'm not saying you can't like every song more power to ya,but you won't be at all helpful guiding somebody else towards Iron Maiden.
Hey Vaillant 3.0 you should try Brave New World if you don't have it already because its excellent. Now I know a certain couple of idiot fanboys of other bands will disagree like always but try Brave New World because its good. Also Somewhere In Time.

I didnt quite get you there, J.D. Could you please explain ?
Honestly, I don't really care much about Maiden. They'r good, but not better than so many other metal bands. Nothing compared to Priest, who are Genius, and in later years have become truly progressive (on top of all their other qualities). As I have mentioned several times now, I consider Nostra to be the most exciting album to have appeared by any group in later years - 100/100.
But each to theirs. I just like to have civilised company, and Brian_Evans, the way you'r acting here, you'r not doin too well. But that could change .....
Very nice of Iron Maiden to charge thier fans to join thier forum as if they don't have enough money already,a huge fuck off to Iron Maiden those greedy bastards!!
