+12F

Paperflowers...in the mid 80's I spent time at Camp LeJeune NC, I remember the winters there getting cold, and there was once even a little snow dusting, but it never lasted long...spent most of my time between the Jacksonville and Fayetteville areas...did see Bon Jovi and Cinderella at the Collosium once (my ex won tix off a radio show!!).

LOL when I was a kid it actually used to snow here!!   Man, I feel like the most thinblooded person in the world this winter. I've been wearing full thermals in the office all day.

+12F  not as windy

I only lived 2 blocks from school, so it was never too cold to go back then, the bitch was when it was raining!!

While I agree that it was too cold for the poor dears to stand out in the cold waiting for a bus, you know they never gave us tha luxury when we where in school. They close school here now if the roads are slick enough they would have to chain the buses.

It was a bit warmer today then yesterday.  Thursday and Friday my kids were home from school because it was too cold to go to school.  I think it warmed up to -2° on Thursday.

Up 30° from yesterday! Which means it's still below freezing! Winter sucks!

WOW guido, I couldn't imagine living without gas!!  Not that I would look like Fat Bastard or anything lol...heat/air, electric stove and dryer...no wonder your bill is so high...around here, the electric is so much cheaper than gas...the heating bill for me in the winter is always more expensive than the electric from running the central air all summer.  I think the Mob runs the utilities up here!!!

You are right on par (almost to the DOLLAR) with me if you multiply it up to the size of my house. Only difference would be if you had any sort of gas bill. My entire house is electric as I can't get natural gas out here. No heat pump either.

Try paying $180.00 for the month to heat only 1000 feet of house! I have a tiny place and it's pretty well insullated. The Electric Company raised the rates by 25% back in October and the state stepped in and told them they could not raise the rate that high. So we still  got a 19% increase and I have not seen any money refunded from the electric company yet. They are blood sucking bastards! It's insane!

You got a massive electric bill too? DAMN, I almost had a heart attack when I saw mine. About $540 or so for a month when I wasn't even HOME!! WTF?

I am thinking my neighbors came over and just ran a big electrical cable over to heat their house. Probably to get me back for all the times Calvin dug up their flower beds.
