I loved watching Star Search but for the singing not the models etc--I remember I had a big crush on Joey Gian--he was a gorgeous man who looked kinda like Andy Gibb--I was madly in lust & I even bought the Star Search album with the best performances on it just for his 1 song --now I couldn't tell ya who the other singers were--I forgot them but he turned my socks back then
I think it was up against Real People or People Are Real --hosted by John Davidson

When I was a child, I love the Jackson five, and thought the world of Michael Jackson, as he came back in his latter years and became so famous, I may not have liked the music but I did respect his genious, I thought Thriller was one of the best videos ever made and really stepped up what people expected from video. Then the fame died down a bit he built his disney land to live in and just got freakishly white and weird. Like you said MG, so much talent gone to waste with a sickened mind.

Definately a man with different lives...all through the 80's he could do no wrong...but the 90's is a totally different Jackson...
I've never been a fan of his, but I respected his talent...

On a positive note the idiot who drove into me has reported her case to her insurance and they called for some details so pretty soon they'll be paying for my damages and I can repair the damage at the back. I'm still thinking of painting a bulls eye on the back lol.

Nope would not feel better! Completely crushed matter of fact! I don't have the mulah to replace it right now, and probably if I'd take the time to reboot it would work just fine! LOL
I'm doing good today. Flora is apparently MIA for the most of this week with her "cousins" so I know she's safe and having fun. A relaxing feeling to know that. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by ronhartsell from Wednesday, June 24, 2009 6:42:46 PM)

Me and Craig yesterday:
Craig getting his medals for his service in Afghanistan pinned on:
And his medals - the one with the black and white ribbon is called the New Zealand Operational Service Medal, the one with the coloured ribbon is the New Zealand General Service Afghanistan Medal. He received the ISAF medal while he was there, but he wasn't wearing it here (wasn't supposed to anyways apparently lol):
Like I said, I'm very proud of him. Just a random note, they don't always wear their berets with this uniform, they often wear what's called a mounted rifle hat, but because they had the battalion photo before the medals were presented they wore berets, cos otherwise you wouldn't be able to see who anyone is in the photo LOL! A very special day for us I believe.

Morning everyone! I slept like a log last night after such a busy day, lol! I have a couple of pics I want to share from yesterday cos I am very proud of Craig. I've posted them here rather than in the 'picture of you' thread cos they're not really of me, although I am in one LOL!

Thanks guys it was great, just sucked that he had to head off back to work straight afterwards oh well lol!

G'day mates
Well, I don't know why but I'm incredibly tired today. Nothing out of the ordinary, my usual gym routine had enough sleep so I have no idea why I'm so pooped. My eyes are burning and are trying to find a way to climb out of my eye sockets lol.
I guess it must be the weather. It is so cold here and we're having some damage from rain storms around the province. Some people are stranded on an island due to rough seas and a barge that was being towed to the Netherlands was run aground. Luckily nobody on board so it's just the barge that is stranded. We've got the most highest waves hitting the coastal towns. I grew up around the beach but now live about an hours drive away and judging from what I heard and saw on the news today, I'm kinda relieved that I'm not on the coast right now!
I think some tea, a good book and an early night is in order. ( freaky.. it's probably mid-day or early afternoon for most of you lol)

How could you?? You should have made a nice antfarm and carried those poor ants individually to safety ! Oh the horror!!
I know what you mean about the pool - we just have one of those 20 foot easyset pools for the boys, but there was a hatch of those flying ant things and I had to dump them out by the bucketful!
