And I don't hate you country at all. I don't envy it either. I don't envy any country.
Your response to my post was also typical of what I heard a bit too often when I was there so it brought some painful memories back. But hey, I also have some good ones of course ! And I still keep in touch with some people, even after over 20 years of beeing back in Switzerland.
It sure looks like this fight was due to a language barrier. I didn’t mean to be offensive at all. So let see if we can sort this out.
If you correctly read my post, you’ll see the sentence with “somewhere in between” in it, which means that neither Europeans nor Americans are either right or wrong. I also mention that what I wrote was only my opinion. Which means anyone can agree or disagree with it. No attack there.
Now, what does war have to do with the nudity issue ?????
Besides, you should take a look at your History papers. You’ll see that not only is Switzerland a neutral country, already was back then, therefore didn’t and still doesn’t fight, but also is the country a lot of leaders, including yours, of this world come to in order to peacefully talk about their sensitive issues.
It would also be a good idea to check a bit more about my country in order to find out that we have 4 national languages, one of them being…German lolllll (which isn’t mine by the way)
To answer your question : Am I proud to be from Switzerland? Not necessarily. Like in every country I’ve seen, there are good things and not so good things. I’m simply a child of the world! And I look at what people have inside of them, not at their passports. Which brings me to the last thing I want to say, or rather ask :
Do you have a problem with “non-american” people? I’m asking this question because it seems that you expect them to eternally bow before you (see the old war thing you wrote) without any right to express themselves, as if they were sub-humans ….isn’t that offensive ?
But as I don't hold a grudge : have a nice day!
PS : my apologies to everyone for the possible spelling and grammatical mistakes….please remember that English is NOT my first language | | VICTIM OF METAL wrote: | | So, your calling Americans prudish, isn't that offensive? As for the irritation going on in this thread at the moment, I think it's a lot of wind for nothing... is there anyone here who doesn't know what a body looks like ???
