Well, this is our landlord, Coke. She adopted us back in '96 and she's STILL going strong! This lil' spoiled feline helped my mom get through the loss of her father, as well as providing other good times for the rest of the family. Don't be fooled, though; she can be a mean little punk! She's been to the vet twice for fight-related injuries and she's not afraid to bite and scratch if you rub her the wrong way!

A big thanks to Vaillant 6.0 and Guido for their awesome instructions on posting pictures. They saved a life tonight. I would've jumped off the roof of my house had they not helped me out. I'm a computer-illiterate mutha, you see. Thanks, brothers!

Hey, thanks again for all those kind words, folks. Anyone who knows me knows how much I care for animals. All the animals in my home are adopted and I support my local humane society both economically and in action. Losing this companion of some five years was a tough and unexpected loss. Don't mean to clog the thread but I did want to express my appreciation to all those who posted here recently. As I said before, it really means a lot. (Metalhead, you got it right...we ARE family here).
Today I spent a good deal of time making calls and writing emails. With a relative coming in from Michigan for the holidays, I hope to have a new companion to share with you all soon. Until then, much metal love. |

of course we know what it means to lose a friend...so I'm sorry about your friend...and I know what it is to suffer that way...I've lost three cats because of my neighbors!!  now I have a black cat, and he has lasted more than the other three...he has magical powers!!

It's great to know that this site offers a true sense of support, and not a false one like gangs, drugs, and criminal activity seem to offer.
Guido, I'm sorry for your loss, brother. I'm sure most of us on this thread have lost pets and/or currently have pets, so we feel ya on your loss, and we most definitely understand the transition they make from "pet" to "family." I'd like to think that I gave every one of my pets a good life and that they are currently waiting patiently for me on the other side so that we can once again ROCK HARD and RIDE FREE!

Guido, I am so sorry for your loss. My beloved Mastif died in my arms five years ago and words cannot describe the emotions that run through you at a time like that.
