I have to admit, this is by far the worse summer I can remember since I was 15 years old. Rain, rain, rain, cold, or humid afterwards not a pleasant summer at all. Guess we were due for a bad one since it has not happened in 30 years. LOL

Yes. We are in what is often called a "mini tornado alley." We do get a ton. A few years back we had some record 50 that killed 10. LEVELED the town! Really amazing to see. Like a bomb went off. Most amazing part? It destroyed a monument in honor of the victims of a previous tornado! Found parts of one of the massive granite balls some miles away.

Thunderstorms are pretty rare in sunny California, especially if one lives near the coast. This one was very intense... [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by spapad from Thursday, June 04, 2009 7:29:37 PM)

Just encountered the coolest thunderstorm early this morning!!! It woke me up at 2 a.m. and again at 4 a.m. because of thunder and lightning crackling and booming right over my apartment complex. The rain was coming down in SHEETS!!!! It was pretty cool!!!!!!! Loved every minute of it...
The funniest part of all this was hearing all the car alarms go off in the parking lot after every thunderclap and hearing the neighbors above me (I'm on the first floor)go outside to quiet the alarms.

Oh man, that's rough. The good thing here is that at work our swamp coolers are actually still making the warehouse still cool, but when they start giving into the heat it will just become a sweatfeast every time we work. Would rather stay in the office when that day comes LOL.

You can have all the rain, if it was up to me... The interlake is saturated,, still from last year.
And we are waiting on this ugly weather, to get a concret floor poured for a garage,,, cannot do it when its crappy..
SO my Man, is pacing the hallways upset about this.... LOL

Oh yeah, you get used to it as long as it's not like 6 days in a row which happened back in MAY!!! That was miserable but the rain in the next week helped make up for it. But we need more rain, would you be able to send some my way?
