Happy New Year All, I hope we all get to see the boys for the 50th and a new album in 2021 -Acolyte

I kinda thought the same when reading the article Acolyte was mentioning. Rob had said something to the effect of "Glenn still plays guitar...I'll see him soon for the holidays" sort of statement. Scratched my head thinking that didn't really sound good at all.
What would Richie, Ian and Scott DO?!? Get together with KK and Ripper?? lol All must really be tough for the band.
However, them getting the best metal album of the decade props? GREAT!!! I was surprised it was for RoS, though!

Ok, post-edit. Went back to re-read the Braveworlds.com interview and see that I must have read too quickly when Rob says "Glenn was drifting away in the studio." Took it too much like an American, I guess....as he clarifies that "he [Glenn] can still put the riffs down." Great.
I'd also post the link but, damn, all those freakin' popups that get through ALL my blockers! Gaaah! Hurts my eyes...

You know at this point... Firepower has 14 tracks. Half of them have Glenn's solos.
Evil Never Dies - first solo Necromancer - 2nd solis trading off and on Children Of the Sun - 2nd solo Guardians -both Glenn & Ritchie Rising from Ruins - 2nd solo Flamethrower - 2nd solo Sea of Red - 1st solo
The other 7 tracks have Ritchie's solos which is fine,as Glenn wrote ,helped write most of them. But will Glenn be ABLE to play 'ANY' solos on the next album? Will he even be able to lay down a rhythm?
It makes me wonder if a new Judas Priest album should even be made without Glenn? If Glenn can't play on studio,do we really NEED a new Judas Priest album? Imo i dont think they should do another album unless Glenn can play MORE on this new album than Firepower. Otherwise i just can't see the point.

Thanks for the report, Acolyte.
Regarding the Fight reunion thingamajig. Didn't somebody from Fight sue the crap out of Rob?
Rob in another interview has now said talking about KK coming back is a "little stick of dynamite " I don't know if that means no , JayJay appeared to be surprised on his FB page over the Fight announcement, No new music in 2020 from the band also reported by Rob - Acolyte

Personally, I would think that something major had to have happened for things to have gotten SO bad it is the DLR / Michael Anthony vs. ALL of VH situation again. Like telling off your significant other, airing all your dirty laundry (did that happen? If so, what was it?? Musta missed it. LOL) and then asking them to take you back. Hell, bands do describe the relationship like a marriage with a bunch of other people.
I'd like KK to play with the band again but, then again, I also wanted Sonny to get back together with Cher! HAAA!!!
Obvioulsy he's pissed off Glenn and Rob worse than Rob pissed off Himself and Glenn when Rob quit. I remember K.K. saying Rob would never sing in the band again. So who knows whats all really been said.
It's safe to say that if K.K. wanted back in the band this much then it wasn't a wise decision to make statements about the band that goes mainstream like how Glenn was basically an asshole that drank too much and how K.K. would ask the crew to water his beers down and all other things we've read.
So you'd think if he wanted back in he would of never said those things and just bite his tongue and mend things with Glenn. Idk...

Happy Thanksgiving guys hope everyone is eating up good today and with family.
I have read the news about K.K. reaching out to Judas Priest about the 50th anniversary of the band's existance and apparently the band meaning first Glenn, then Rob,Ian and Janye Andrews - management responding they have no plans on including him.
Over all - overal all, after everything is into perspective as a fan I agree with guido as I love K.K. even though he's pissed me off saying some things about Glenn and the band even if what he said is 100% TRUE its just stuff he should of never told us fans,it was SELFISH it just is. But I will always love this guy he's one of my heros.
But that being said we dont know anything what's going on so as a fan: I wish he could just tell Glenn,Rob and Ian he is very sorry and I wish those guys could just accept his apologies and welcome him back into the band at this point K.K. surely would take a pay cut so he doesn't disrupt $$$ what's currently being paid in thier system....
It would be killer if Glenn thought this over, because like Paul runs Kiss,Iommi runs Sabbath,Harris runs Maiden,Glenn runs Priest, nothing is approved officially unless Glenn says so.
It would be kick ass because we had Ritchie with Glenn and now unfortunately Glenn's situation, we could have Ritchie with .K.K. even just live and no album would be ok at this point. I guess the relationship is not fixable. Edited at: Thursday, November 28, 2019 1:39:53 PM

I would have missed it (for the moment...working all day), so thanks for the post!
Sucks about the band not being receptive. THAT really kinda sucks, IMO. Seriously, what the CRAP happened between them?! After all the years of KK / Glenn?
Yup, saw that this morning. Here's the whole press-release thingamabob:
”First of all, I want to once again express my huge appreciation to all fans worldwide for the overwhelmingly positive response to my Bloodstock appearance in August and the Wolverhampton gig in early November. I am truly humbled and grateful.
I am also taken aback with the compelling fan outcry for me to participate in the Judas Priest 50th anniversary celebrations next year. Consequently, I felt the right thing to do was to reach out to my former band-mates to gather their thoughts on this, and their response is they are not receptive to my participation in the band and they do not intend to include me in the 50th anniversary celebrations.
However, the great news for the fans is that I will be continuing to forge ahead, I am looking very much forward to seeing you all on the road in 2020. Together we will take on the world"

Hey, I'd see 'em if they were to come close. Never a fan of Ripper but damn if he can't hit the notes. Nice to see KK as well.
