Oh yeah! I've never been big on Al Bowlly but that particular song really got to you during the movie!! I love Roy Orbison stuff. Cryin is one of my favorites but I think upping the tempo on it would just be a crime. It is a sad, lonely song that needs to be done just as he did it. Very solemn and destitute. Some songs are just that way. There is no other way to do them without losing the feel. That's my take anyway.

This movie has it all:
1. Lots of high speed action.
2. A very nice (actually incredible) looking Sandra Bullock.
3. Keanu Reeves to save the day.
4. Billy Idol - Steve Stevens crankin music.

Well I was not thinking of doing it Metal anyway. My band is more straightforward rock. You know, Van Halen re-did "Pretty Woman" and it was not that bad. I think Cara Mia would be pretty cool if it is done right. By no means does that mean making it a "Metal" tune. That would just not work. I am thinking of dropping the key and upping the tempo a bit on it. [Show/Hide Quoted Message](Quoting Message by Craig Wagenhoffer from Wednesday, December 09, 2009 1:33:05 PM)

Hmm... I don't think it'll be easy to do a cover of one of those songs. You're definitely right about upping the tempo. It would probably destroy the atmosphere of the song. Maybe you should look for examples first, but I don't know a single metal band that has covered a crooner song!
